Grand Theft Auto V's latest update allows players to transform into Bigfoot, but only if they carefully follow these very specific instructions.
Games with a large online component and community tend to like getting in on the Halloween fun. Even though the spookiest holiday of the year has now been and is gone until 2020, the updates to certain games remain in place. Fortnite's Fortnitemares event is still ongoing, and Grand Theft Auto V's Halloween 2019 update may remain in place forever if previous changes are anything to go by.
This time around, Rockstar has granted players the chance to transform into animals. Find and eat one of the 75 peyote plants dotted around Los Santos and players will turn into a dog, a cat, a rabbit, or perhaps something else. There's also a way in which players can transform into Bigfoot and trust us when we tell you, it's something you're going to want to try.
Where To Find The Peyote Plant
Trouble is, it is not easy. To become Bigfoot, players need to eat a certain peyote plant at a certain time of day during a certain weather condition. The peyote plant in question is well off the beaten path. It's in Grapeseed at the base of Mount Chiliad, to be exact. If you're not 100% sure where that is - Los Santos is a big place after all - GTA Series Videos clip below shows where it is exactly on the map:
When To Eat The Peyote Plant
Just showing up and eating the plant isn't enough, though. That will just transform you into a regular animal like the other 74 plants dotted around the map. This particular strain of peyote will only help players become Bigfoot if it is consumed between 3 AM and 8 AM. That's in-game, not in real-world hours. It will also need to be consumed when the weather is foggy for its full effect to be felt.
The Pros And Cons Of Being Bigfoot
Do all of those things to the letter and presto, you'll be Bigfoot. That will change a few things, other than your appearance, of course. As Bigfoot, players will no longer be able to enter buildings or cars. That's the bad news. The good news is you will still be able to use weapons and ammo you find, and since Bigfoot doesn't exist, the police will completely ignore you. Bigfoot also has super strength and a lot more health.
