The Guild Wars 2 expansion End of Dragons added a new fishing mechanic to the game that allowed players to obtain their own pole and start catching fish all over Tyria. It also added new types of vendors to help facilitate your fishing.
This article details where you can find these new fishing vendors, which fall into two types:
- Fishing Supplies: These vendors sell bait, lures, and unique fishing wardrobe items.
- Fishmongers: These vendors will allow you to trade your lower rarity fish fillets for higher rarity fish fillets.
In addition, some fishing vendors host fishing tournaments: a type of event which asks you to catch as many fish as you can in a set time limit.
Seitung Province
The very first Canthan map you'll get to explore, Seitung Province, has plenty of water for excellent fishing (made clear by the local fishing harbor town).

New Kaineng City
Though it's a city, there are waterways that run through the base of New Kaineng, so fishing is still an option. Since it's more populated, there are more fishing tournaments here.

It's a wonder that all the trees in the Echovald Wilds haven't sucked up all the water, but there are plenty of swampy places to fish for unique species.

Dragon's End
The closer you get to the Void and the big tower in the middle of the map, the less luck you'll have fishing; that's why the vendors here are right near the entrance to the map from the Echovald Wilds.

Lion's Arch
Some players will remember when Lion's Arch was a pirate's den, not a concrete metropolis. However, the new design maintains the nautical theme of the old Lion's Arch (even though it interprets it in a very different way). Very appropriate for fishing.

Most of Rata Sum feels underground, even though not all of it is - you get a general claustrophobic feeling while you're here. One exception, though, is the Rata Sum docks, where these vendors are found.

Frostgorge Sound
A significant percentage of the Frostgorge Sound map is water. The locals are the Quaggan (adorable sea creatures) and the Kodan (intimidating but also kinda adorable sentient bipedal polar bears), so I don't need to explain why they're fishing experts.

Siren's Landing
When Zhaitan awoke before the plot of Guild Wars 2's story started, it brought the ruins of a human civilization called 'Orr' up from underwater. The wreckage is still covered in barnacles. You can see why there are plenty of fish in these watery areas.
