Aurora is a legendary trinket in Guild Wars 2, which means it's super rare and valuable (not to mention the huge boost it gives to your stats). However, as with all rare and valuable things, it's time-consuming and challenging to acquire. We detail exactly what you need to do in this article!

You need four items to make Aurora: a Mystic Tribute, a Gift of Sentience, a Gift of Draconic Mastery, and a Spark of Sentience. Below, we'll tell you how to get all those things and combine them in the Mystic Forge to craft your very own legendary trinket

Prerequisites

To unlock Aurora, you must have access to all the episodes of Living World Season 3.

  • Icy Runestones (x100)
  • Gift of Valor (x1)
  • Gift of Energy (x1)

How To Get A Gift Of The Mists

Just like the Gift of Prescience, you get a Gift of the Mists by combining four items in the Mystic Forge:

  • Gift of Glory (x1)
  • Gift of Battle (x1)
  • Gift of War (x1)
  • Cube of Stabilized Dark Energy (x1)

Ingredient For A Gift Of The Mists

How To Get It

Gift of Glory

A Gift of Glory is purchased from Miyani, who is standing next to the Mystic Forge in Lion's Arch. It will cost 250 Shards of Glory. Those are obtained in a variety of ways, but especially through Player versus Player reward tracks and from other players on the trading post.

Gift of Battle

The Gift of Battle can only be obtained by completing the Gift of Battle Item Reward Track in World versus World. The Gift of Battle is the final reward in the track.

Gift of War

Like the Gift of Glory, you need to purchase the Gift of War from Miyani in Lion's Arch. It will cost you 250 Memories of Battle, which are largely earned through World versus World reward tracks (but you can also buy them on the trading post).

Cube of Stabilized Dark Energy

Level 100 Armorsmiths, Weaponsmiths, Tailors, Artificers, Leatherworkers, and Huntsmen can craft Cubes of Stabilized Dark Energy. It requires two ingredients:

  • Ball of Dark Energy (x1)
  • Stabilizing Matrix (x75)

How To Get Icy Runestones

Icy Runestones are a crafting ingredient obtained from Rojan the Penitent. He's found in the Frostgorge Sound map, in the Earthshake Basin.

Each Icy Runestone costs 1 gold, so you'll need 100 gold to purchase enough for the Gift of Prescience.

How To Get A Gift Of Energy

For the Gift of Energy, you'll need to have a character who is level 400 as an Artificer.

Then, go to Miyani at the Mystic Forge in Lion's Arch and purchase the Recipe for the Gift of Energy.

After that, go to an Artificing station and craft it with these ingredients:

  • Pile of Crystalline Dust (x250)
  • Pile of Incandescent Dust (x250)
  • Pile of Luminous Dust (x250)
  • Pile of Radiant Dust (x250)

How To Get A Gift Of Valor

The Gift of Valor is obtained from completing the first achievement: 'Aurora: Awakening.'

To unlock 'Aurora: Awakening,' you need to get the Sentient Seed. The Sentient Seed is purchased for 1,000 Unbound Magic from the Gleam of Sentience. The Gleam of Sentience needs to be crafted in the Mystic Forge by combining four items:

  • Sentient Aberration (x1)
  • Sentient Anomaly (x1)
  • Sentient Oddity (x1)
  • Sentient Singularity (x1)

Item

How To Obtain It

Sentient Oddity

Once you've obtained the Sentient Seed, completing the 'Aurora: Awakening' achievement requires some more achievement completion!

Ember Bay Hero

Earned by completing the achievement 'Ember Bay Master.'

Bitterfrost Frontier Hero

Earned by completing the achievement 'Bitterfrost Frontier Master.'

Crafting Aurora

Guild Wars 2 - Mesmer player wearing Aurora
via u/Tranquillity_ on Reddit

Once you've collected...

  • Mystic Tribute (x1)
  • Gift of Sentience (x1)
  • Gift of Draconic Mastery (x1)
  • Spark of Sentience (x1)

... you can combine them all in the Mystic Forge to make your very own legendary trinket: Aurora!

You may notice that your character gets a slight effect when you wear this trinket. It's actually an effect that comes in three parts, with each part activating depending on the number of legendary accessories you have equipped: Aurora, Coalescence, and/or Vision.
