Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary features ten terminals scattered throughout the campaign, as well as one final terminal previously available through Halo Waypoint. These terminals are imperative for fans of the Halo lore, as they describe the history of 343 Guilty Spark's work on Installation 04, as well as help better understand the often confusing relationships between the Monitor, the Flood, the Covenant and the UNSC.

These terminals aren't just for the plot enthusiasts, but also for the achievement hunters. These terminals will land you five gamerscore a piece in The Master Chief Collection, plus 30 gamerscore for collecting them all. Those playing Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary for the Xbox 360 will earn themselves 10G for finding the first, 25G for finding five and 50G for finding the whole lot of the terminals.

The Pillar of Autumn

"343GS"

The first of the ten terminals can be found on The Pillar of Autumn, once you reach Captain Keyes in the front of the ship. Head towards the control station, left of Captain Keyes, with the "INCOMING MESSAGE" text flashing in red. This is the terminal and the prompt to view it should appear once you are close.

This terminal shows 343 Guilty Spark disabling Installation 04's defensive systems, thus allowing the Pillar of Autumn to land and the story of Combat Evolved to begin.

Halo

"HALO4"

On the second level, Halo, once you enter the cave that is most certainly not a natural formation, you will eventually come to two ramps as pictured below. Take the left ramp downward.

You should see a flashing yellow light on the opposite side of the tunnel as you go down the ramp. This is the terminal, so exit your warthog and go view it.

This terminal reveals 343 Guilty Spark's final meeting with the other monitors to distribute the Indexes.

Truth and Reconciliation

"SPARK"

Truth and Reconciliation's terminal can be found aboard the ship, in the room with Shipmaster Lat 'Ravamee, pictured below. After the enemies are dealt with, climb up to the center platform and the terminal will appear, glowing red in plain sight.

This terminal shows 343 Guilty Spark trying to explain the threat of the Flood to an unidentified Covenant semi-sentient construct assigned to the Truth and Reconciliation.

The Silent Cartographer

"FLOOD"

Possible the most iconic Halo level of them all, The Silent Cartographer's terminal can be found in plain sight, much like the previous level's. After reaching the area where you fight the two hunters, pictured below, the terminal can be seen, flashing yellow up against the wall of the structure.

This terminal shows off 343 Guilty Spark's early signs of rampancy after three thousand years of isolation from the other monitors.

Assault on the Control Room

"EARTH"

Assault on the Control Room's terminal can be found at the very end of the level. You will eventually come to a snow-covered bridge with a banshee in the middle. If you kill the elites quick enough, you can claim this banshee as your own.

With it, fly down and to the right, to the base of the tower, pictured below. The terminal can be found underneath this large inclined structure, flashing yellow.

If you are unable to get the banshee in time, you can simply jump off the left side of the snow bridge, onto the higher point of the large inclined piece of the tower and walk down to the bottom.

This terminal shows 343 Guilty Sparks monitoring the crashed remains of Sector 1215, awaiting the occupants to exit so he can question them.

343 Guilty Spark

"DEMON"

This is one of the more tricky terminals. 343 Guilty Spark's terminal can be found once you reach the third elevator, that leads you back up to the surface.

As soon as you hit the button to go up the elevator, turn around 180 degrees and stand on the far edge of the elevator, facing the door you just exited from.

Jump from the elevator as it is rising up and land on top of the entrance to find the terminal. If you mistime the jump, revert to the previous checkpoint and give it another try.

This terminal takes place after the last, showing 343 Guilty Spark contemplating whether or not it is possible to defeat or cure the Flood.

The Library

"RINGS"

This terminal can be found on the third floor of The Library, once you first enter the large circular middle area. Head straight forward out the door and you should be able to see a flashing yellow light in the far corner of the room.

Jump over the lower parts of the struts near the cliffside and work your way counterclockwise around the room, towards the terminal. It is recommended that you take out the rocket form to the left of the door you exited before attempting this, as they have freakishly good aim.

This terminal shows 343 Guilty Spark succumbing to rampancy in his loneliness and reevaluating the plans of Installation 04, judging how the project could have been handled better.

Two Betrayals

"ARRAY"

This is the easiest terminal to find in the game, being viewable at the very start of Two Betrayals. After dealing with the sentinels on the bridge, turn around and walk to the opposite side of the control room, around the circular bridge. The terminal can be found on the far side.

This terminal shows 343 Guilty Spark activating a Halo ring, exterminating all sentient life with a 25 thousand lightyear radius.

Keyes

"HUMAN"

The terminal on Keyes can be found in the exact same room as the terminal from Truth and Reconciliation. After finding Captain Keyes, who has been turned into a giant beige grape, drop down off the right side of the platform into the right of two crevices in the room. At the far end of it, you can find the terminal flashing red.

This terminal is the first to not revolve around 343 Guilty Spark. It shows Captain Keyes and his squad of marines being consumed by the Flood.

The Maw

"HAVEN"

The final terminal that can be found in-game is located at the section of The Maw, pictured below. After entering this room, take one of the ladders up to the top level and continue into the room at the end of the walkway. The terminal is flashing red with "INCOMING MESSAGE" text displayed, on the back wall of the room.

This terminal shows Master Chief arriving at Installation 04 and ruining 343 Guilty Spark's 100 thousand years of work, prompting the Monitor to make contact with the Didact and unleash the Prometheans.

Terminal 11

Terminal 11 can not be found in-game, nor can it be accessed anymore from Halo Waypoint. Originally, it was required for players to enter the ten five-character codes displayed at the ends of the ten terminals, into the Halo Waypoint Classified menu, which would then unlock the 11th terminal. Since Classified has been discontinued, this can no longer be done, so the terminal video has been included below for your viewing pleasure.

This terminal shows the destruction of Installation 04, as well as 343 Guilty Spark introducing himself to grunts and jackals, and joining forces with the Covenant to battle the Flood.
