Halo Infinite is the first free-to-play game in the Halo franchise. Like most free-to-play games, it has a unique virtual currency called Credits. You can spend these on a season battle pass or unique armor skins, vehicle skins, weapon skins, and XP boosts.

While virtual currencies help keep the lights on for these free-to-play multiplayer games, their implementation makes or breaks a game’s success. As Halo Infinite continues to grow, the likelihood of their currency system evolving and changing grows too. It's highly likely that there will be new promotions and partnerships that will reward players with free credits but this guide covers the current ways to get credits as well as what you can spend them on.

How To Get Credits In Halo Infinite

The only way to get credits currently is to buy them from the store with real cash. To purchase Credits, you need to go to the store tab in the main menus and click the buy credits tile.

These prices follow the same pricing scheme as many other virtual currencies, where you receive up to 15 percent more credits for every higher price tier. Pricing varies depending on your countries currency but follows the same value as the United States Dollar. You can buy credits from five different bundles, which are:

  • 500 Credits for USD 4.99
  • 1000 Credits for USD 9.99
  • 2200 Credits for USD 19.99
  • 5600 Credits for USD 49.99
  • 11500 Credits for USD 99.99

How Many Credits Does The Battle Pass Cost?

The Battle Pass costs 1000 Credits, which is equivalent to USD 9.99. You can also buy a Battle Pass Bundle, which includes 100 XP grants. When totaled together, these XP grants equal 25 Battle Pass levels. This bundle will set you back 2800 Credits, which means you need to buy at least 30 US Dollars worth of credits.

The Battle Pass includes 100 rewards that unlock as you level up. These rewards are either cosmetic upgrades or XP boosts.

Unfortunately, you cannot earn credits in the battle pass. That means that after every season, you will need to pay another $9.99 to get enough credits to buy the next battle pass.

That said, nothing is set in stone when it comes to free-to-play games. So, 343 Industries will hopefully take player feedback into account.
