The repeated delays that the Forge mode and co-op Campaign faced probably didn't help Halo Infinite hold on to its already dwindling player count. While most of the player base jumped ship due to the sheer lack of content, these two features would no doubt bring many of them back. It may be hard to believe but, given all the leaks and previews we've seen over the last month, 343 may finally be ready to launch the modes. However, it appears that you might have trouble finding someone to co-op the campaign with.

Looks like you'll have to make some actual friends if you want to dive into Zeta Halo together, as Halo Infinite's co-op Campaign mode will not feature a matchmaking option. "Online matchmaking will not be available with final co-op," said an Xbox representative in an email to GamesRadar. "We encourage you to continue to use the Halo LFG and the new Discord voice call feature on Xbox to find players to party up with as you continue playing the beta."

It's unclear why 343 Industries has made this decision. Perhaps the call was taken by Microsoft in order to push the Discord integration. It's definitely a curious decision though, given that they've made it harder for players to find someone to play co-op Campaign with. So, you'll either have to make new friends, convince a friend to get back into the game, or find people via Discord – which is a whole other process that might deter those on the fence.

It seems like it has only been bad news for Halo Infinite since after the campaign launch. The latest issue that players have run into is the ridiculous amount of data being used by the game during matches. Someone on Twitter noticed that over 300mb of data was being transferred per match, and nobody was sure why. Multiple players then started reporting this issue.

Upon investigating, one of them found out that Halo Infinite was downloading the season two banner image for the game upward of 2,000 times. Obviously this was some kind of glitch and 343 has said that it will be fixed. However, the fix will come in August, meaning that those looking to save data may jump off before then.
