Halo Infinite's multiplayer has been quite a smooth ride since launching, but like anything, it's not devoid of some flaws. For instance, one eagle-eyed player spotted a major desync issue in the game that promoted a response from 343 Industries.

A post on the Halo Subreddit by TonySoprano300 highlights a major desync problem that is affecting the game. The video shows a side-by-side comparison of the client and server inconsistencies, where the same player is shown experiencing two different things due to desync.

A desync issue mainly refers to client-server disparities where the player does one thing but the server renders another. The Redditor believes that this is the reason behind the shot registration issues.

The post has over 27,000 likes, which was enough to grab the attention of a 343 Industries sandbox developer. He wrote “Just wanted to let you know how much we appreciated this thread. The discussion and videos were very thorough and the steps to reproduce make it easy for us to verify the problem in retail. I sent the "How To" video over to the UCN (networking) Devs and we're having the Test team look into this internally. If we can repro the issue with our latest internal builds, we'll get a bug triaged for it and start doing a deeper dive on it”.

He also mentioned how the players should keep such detailed feedback coming which will help the team improve the game even further. Beyond some technical issues, there are other things that the community is looking to be tweaked, namely the battle pass and cosmetics. Several players have complained about the battle pass progression being too ‘grindy’ and the cosmetics system being too confusing to understand.

The good news is that 343 developers have already started to address these issues and have promised to continue working on them. Till then, fans already have something to look forward to as the Halo Infinite campaign launches on December 8, 2021.
