An early access digital bundle that included Halo Infinite was spotted on the Microsoft Store a few hours ago, but the listing has since been removed. The bundle is believed to have contained the multiplayer mode and some DLC.

Due to launch December 8, it is possible that this early access bundle contains the multiplayer mode for Halo Infinite, as Microsoft may want to test out the servers with a smaller amount of players before opening the floodgates (get it?) to the general public.

Halo Infinite will be the latest in the iconic Microsoft FPS series. Developed by 343 Industries, early impressions of Infinite have been very positive. And, fortunately, Xbox Series X supplies are set to improve just in time for the holidays. So, players looking to upgrade their hardware for this latest Halo outing should be in luck.

We know quite a bit about Halo Infinite already. The most surprising bit of news is that the multiplayer element of the game will be entirely free-to-play. The campaign featuring everyone's favourite Spartan, Master Chief, will most likely cost money, but if you want to shoot some people in the head with snipers and lunge about with energy swords, you can do that for free.

Infinite will also be available on Xbox Game Pass on day one of its launch, meaning subscribers to the service won't have to pay a penny extra to dive straight into this new game.

The biggest gameplay twist in the upcoming space shooter is the addition of a grappling hook. The older Halo games already featured verticality in the form of jump pads placed strategically around the map that players could use to pull off sick trick shots, but this Grappleshot will give players more agency over when and where they ascend.

In other Halo news, you can now get wet and bubbly with some new Master Chief soap, while a 6'4'' cutout of him watches over you. Finally, Craig's new do is making fans drool - he really suits the mohawk and beard.
