Xbox’s 20th-anniversary celebration definitely surprised fans all over the world with some exciting announcements. While there was a lot announced at the showcase, Halo: Infinite’s Multiplayer launch clearly stole the spotlight. However, it seems the players already have a major concern about the battle pass progression.

As exciting as the surprise multiplayer launch was, it seems the community has already found a glaring issue with the battle pass progression in the game. The Halo subreddit was buzzing just hours after launch where a few posts expressing concerns about the battle pass caught everyone’s attention.

Currently, the XP progression is purely challenge-based. Owing to this, several users have already complained that leveling up once takes them more than an hour. The post below also mentions "3 hours in and i barely managed to level up once. I know its a beta and they’ve talked about improving this in the future. But its just really discouraging to go out of your way to use the less effective weapons/vehicles for XP that amounts to a single grain of sand."

While the players have expressed their concerns, they have also offered a rather simple solution to this problem- give players some amount of XP for completing every match. They also mentioned how earning specific medals in the matches should give them additional XP, which would be quite encouraging. The gameplay, gunplay, and other mechanics are top-notch, but the terribly grindy battle pass progression needs a fix.

The good news is that this is just the beta and a more refined version of the game is in the works. Hopefully, 343 Industries has a fix for the battle pass progression. All things considered, the Halo: Infinite Multiplayer looks fantastic and definitely has more exciting things in store for the players.

The 20th-anniversary showcase was all about Halo as Xbox also announced the highly-anticipated Halo live-action TV Series, releasing in 2022. A free Halo-themed DLC was also announced for Sea of Thieves to commemorate the legendary franchise.

The Halo: Infinite Campaign launches on Xbox and PC on December 8, 2021.
