Recent datamines from Halo Infinite's test preview reveal Master Chief's next adventure may include a battle royale mode. In a recent thread on ResetEra, a clip was shared of the iconic series announcer saying, "Battle Royale."

Halo Infinite's tech test has been running for a couple of days now, and of course where there's a game secret lurking, there's a datamine to be had. 343 Industries took to Twitter to warn users that, unfortunately, some campaign files that some may see as spoilers made their way into the tech test, and dataminers are uploading them. This tech test was intended to reveal new multiplayer details only, so folks worried about having Master Chief's new plotline spoiled may want to avoid certain corners of the internet.

In some details that don't ruin your next dive into the Halo-verse, it does seem like 343 has at least considered a Battle Royale mode. The file, which you can listen to here on Vocaroo, simply says, "Battle Royale," in that iconic voice you're used to. This could very well mean nothing, developers leave files in games all the time that they don't end up using, but we know it was at least a little idea someone, somewhere at 343 had at some point.

Outside of the Battle Royal datamine, another possible goodie includes a strange menu on the Halo website, which lists more than one story campaign available. It could be a simple mistake, but the official Infinite site lists the campaign option as plural, so it says "campaigns." 343 hasn't said anything confirming or denying the option, though.

Between all the leaks and surprises, spartans have spent the weekend in intense Halo firefights. 343 decided to make things a little spicier, and upped the difficulty on Infinite's bots in a tech test update. This weekend's test is only to test said bots, with no PVP multiplayer available for preview just yet, and said bots also have some pretty hilarious joke names as their gamertags.
