Want this lovely little Hardlink Shell for your Ghost in Destiny 2? Here’s how to get it.
Season of Arrivals is off to a good start. There’s a story-based quest, tons of stuff to do, and new loot. And even some loot that looks like it might’ve been intended for the last season, but wasn’t included in the Eververse for some reason. I speak of the Hardlink Shell, the new Exotic Ghost Shell.
The Hardlink Shell is very clearly intended for Season of the Worthy. It’s got the Season of the Worthy symbol in its icon and it has a very obvious Warmind motif to it. However, it was never available during Season of the Worthy, and now it’s being given away for free during Season of Arrivals.
Why the sudden freebie? Maybe because Bungie actually just gosh-darned forgot to sell this Shell last season. Or maybe it’s because Season of the Worthy was a bit of a stinker, with tons of players angry at the general lack of content and sudden influx of bugs and hackers. That would make the Hardlink Shell a bit of an apology for anyone who purchases the Season of the Worthy pass.
Whatever the reason, you can get a Hardlink Shell for free so long as you previously purchased the season pass for Season of the Worthy. Here’s where to get it.
Where To Get The Hardlink Shell
You can grab the Hardlink Shell straight from the Cryptarch himself, Rahool. So long as you previously purchased the Season of the Worthy season pass, then it’ll be waiting for you to claim at no additional charge. Non-season pass owners sadly cannot obtain the Hardlink Shell (at least not yet--it might go on sale in the Eververse later).
What Does The Hardlink Shell Do?
The Hardlink Shell comes with the Guiding Light and Omni-Telemetry perks. The first gives you a straight 10% increase to all your XP gains, which is a great thing to have early in the season. Omni-Telemetry provides Guardians with Telemetry Data for every Energy Weapon kill, which can be turned in to Banshee-44 for more loot.
You'll also get a third random roll, which is usually location-based and not all that interesting. Guiding Light is the big prize here, so if you purchased the Season of the Worthy pass, grab your Hardlink Shell.
