Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is getting into the Halloween spirit, and what better way to celebrate than by holding a Dark Arts Event? Available until November 2, participating in the limited-time event can earn you a bunch of exclusive rewards.
The event is straightforward – just play the usual Player Journey Puzzles and collect creepy new Spiders scattered across the board, earning a bonus multiplier for completing the level on your first or second try. Then, use those to open a Chest and earn exclusive rewards. Upon logging in you'll be greeted by the infamous Lucius Malfoy, who will give you a brief overview of the Dark Arts Event. For more details, navigate to the Events panel on the bottom of the Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells menu.
To go along with the spider theme, you can also find new Spider Egg power-ups randomly scattered throughout the puzzles. Double tap on these or swipe them to an adjacent space to create a 3 x 3 explosion on the board. Hopefully the incendiary new drop will help you clear some of Puzzles & Spells more difficult stages – once you inch past level 50, things get increasingly difficult.
Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells is now available for free on iOS and Android. The Dark Arts Event will run until November 2, at which point arachnophobes can freely play the game once again.
