Right on schedule, and following the launch of Hearthstone’s recent expansion Saviors of Uldum, the latest solo adventure will be formally launching on September 17, titled Tombs of Terror. As is now customary, the first chapter will soon be out later this month and the subsequent four chapters will unlock weekly.

The adventure will focus on the adventures of Reno Jackson, Elise Starseeker, Brann Bronzebeard, and Sir Finely in their efforts to thwart Rafaam’s schemes and the rest of E.V.I.L. Each character will embody the popular dual-class abilities we have seen tested before, along with 24 new Signature Treasures to assist in the battle.

While players had the opportunity to choose a dual class in a previously released, limited-time arena, the four heroes of the story will have pre-determined blends to use:

  • Elise Starseeker, the Enlightened, will have access to the restorative magic of a Priest and the benefits of a Druid, including armor and mana ramp.
  • Dino-tamer Brann Bronzebeard will be combining the benefits of the Warrior class with the tracking and beast synergy of a Hunter.
  • Sir Finley Mrrglton of the Sands, will blend the Paladin class with the Shaman class. This demands more murloc knights!
  • Reno Jackson, Relicologist, will combine this Rogue-ish love of treasure hunting (stealing?) with the power of Mage spells.

The story continues from the first expansion of the year, Rise of Shadows, which began with a focus on Rafaam and his team, E.V.I.L., which concluded with the literal theft of Dalaran city. Now the “good guys” appear to be striking back. There is still one more expansion to follow Saviors of Uldum, which will wrap up the story for the year.

Playing through the adventures will earn you several packs. Defeating the boss of each wing will provide a total of three Saviors of Uldum packs. After you defeat all of the bosses in the adventure, there will be one Golden Classic Pack awarded as well. There is also a unique card back to be earned for completing the adventure on Normal or Heroic mode. Players who pre-purchase the bundle will also be given a random Saviors of Uldum Legendary card, and the League of Explorers Card back.

The price of the Adventure as a preorder is $19.99 USD. However, this will drop to $14.99 USD following the launch of the new content, and will exclude the Legendary card and card back.
