The upcoming dark sci-fi Souls-like Hellpoint has received a last-minute delay due to COVID-19 and will now be released in Q2 2020.

Hellpoint is a game that combines the action RPG combat of the Dark Souls series with the twisted science fiction setting of Event Horizon or the System Shock series. Hellpoint was originally meant to be released on April 16, but the game has now been pushed back to Q2 2020. Cradle Games announced the delay on its official Twitter account, citing COVID-19 as the reason for the issues. The company has assured fans that the delay will be used to improve the quality of the game and that it will likely only last for a few more months.

TheGamer previewed Hellpoint earlier this year and we found it to be an awesome game, but it was badly in need of polish. The game has beautiful visuals, but there were a number of glitches that affected the gameplay in annoying ways. If the delay leads to a better experience for fans, then we're all for it.

Hellpoint will be released for PC, OSX, Linux, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch in Q2 2020.
