Henry Cavill was petitioning hard to play Geralt before landing the role in 2018. The fans were initially excited at the prospect of the actor best-known for playing Superman taking on the role of a witcher, but that excitement started to diminish when the first footage of Cavill in the Geralt outfit was released online. Cavill looked more like medieval Fabio than Geralt, and there are remaining fears that he might be miscast in the role, but the initial trailer for The Witcher TV show was impressive enough to put many of these misgivings to rest.
The fans who want to experience The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as the Cavill version of Geralt are in luck, as a new mod for the PC version of the game allows players to take on the appearance of the beefy version of the character from the TV show. The Henry Cavill mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt replaces the face and hair of Geralt to make it match Cavill's appearance from the footage of The Witcher TV show that has been released so far.
The Henry Cavill mod for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was created by a Nexus Mods user named Adnan4444, who did an amazing job at replicating Cavill's appearance in the game. There is also a black-eyed version of Geralt that resembles the moment in the trailer before he fights the monster in the swamp.
The page for the Henry Cavill mod states that it will be updated in the future with different variations of Cavill, but the mod as it exists right now is based on the existing footage from the show. There is no word on whether other mods will be created for the other characters who are in both the game and the show, but the dreamy and enviable square-jawed visage of Cavill might be enough for most gamers.
