I'm pretty sure everyone reading this has a bucket list - a collection of things they want to achieve or experience before our short time on his planet comes to an end. For many, we try and squeeze in as much living as possible while we can, but Hideo Kojima reckons he has more time to keep creating than the average human being. A lot more in fact, as he believes he'll "become an AI and stick around" after death.

In a recent interview with IGN (thanks GamesRadar), Kojima was asked whether there are any feelings or philosophies he would want Kojima Productions to stick with after he's no longer with us, prompting the creator to reveal some rather unique plans he has for life after death.

"I'll keep leading so long as I'm around, and all that matters to me is that our roots when it comes to creation are kept intact," says Kojima. "But you know, I'll probably become an AI and stick around. You need to be stimulated in lots of different ways if you want to keep creating new things, so I imagine I'll keep collaborating with others and taking in new things even if I'm an AI."

With how often Kojima likes to break the bounaries of what games can be, along with his fondness for convoluted storylines, it's probably not too much of a surprise that the creator wouldn't simply spring for a simple burial or cremation after he passes away. Whether or not humanity has evolved to the point where we can successfuly turn someone into an AI in the next fifty years remains to be seen though.

The interview wasn't all about the mysteries of the afterlife though, as Kojima revealed a few other tidbits about his upcoming projects. For example, he also explains that the recently announced Death Stranding movie may not include game protagonist Sam Bridges, as Kojima may be hinting that the movie is more than just a simple retelling of the game's plot.
