Hitman 2 is getting some new content in its latest update, including a brand new Sniper Assassin Map set in Siberia.

The map itself is called Siberia, but the mission is called "Crime and Punishment." Agent 47's mission is to head to a Siberian prison and kill both the warden and a Urkranian mobster using just a sniper rifle, and then instigate a prison riot in order to cover his tracks.

Roman Khabko is the Ukranian mobster with ties to the Russian Mafia. Tired of spending his remaining days in one of the coldest and most inhospitable climates on Earth, he strikes a deal with warden Vitaly Reznikov to stage an escape. Or at least he would if Agent 47 didn't show up with a high-powered sniper rifle.

You'll also need to eliminate some Siberian Tigers. It's unclear if these Tigers are a prison gang, elite prison guards, or actual, literal Siberian tigers.

Along with the new Siberia Sniper Assassin map comes new challenges that will help upgrade your rifle with bigger mags, faster reloads, and extra ammo storage. They'll also help unlock the grand prize: the Druzhina 34 ICA Arctic sniper rifle.

Siberia is the second post-launch Sniper Assassin map to be released, which can be played either solo or online co-op with a friend. Owners of the Expansion Pass should already have the map in the inventory, and if you haven't gotten it yet you can search for it under "HITMAN 2 SIBERIA" on your respective download platform.

Hitman 2's latest update also brings a set of brand new skins for Agent 47 in honor of IO Interactive's 20th anniversary, with each skin celebrating one of the developer's other games. There's the Futo Suit from Mini Ninjas, Lunch Suit from Kane & Lynch, and the Freedom Phantom Suit from Freedom Fighters.

Hawke's Bay has also been added as a new map to Contracts Mode, and there's also the usual assortment of bug fixed and quality of life improvements. Get the Siberia update now on PS4, Xbox One, or whatever PC digital storefront you prefer.
