The home stretch of Hitman 3 is every bit as intense as any portion of the series. Completionists understand that the going will be slow as they try to complete every challenge before moving on to the next mission. Yet Chongqing represents a roadblock that is a little bit elevated above the rest.
It's not that the area is difficult, necessarily. The guards are spread out enough so that getting overwhelming isn't that likely. It's just that there are so many areas. A secret laboratory, apartment building, laundromat, psychokinetic lab, restaurant, sniper perch, etc. It's enough to drive a true fan bonkers with all there is to discover! Don't fret, this guide will break down all three redacted challenges in Chongqing so your journey can progress.
There's A Hair In My Soup
Every athlete that ever advised about how 90% of the work is preparation will relate to this loadout. This is likely the easiest redacted challenge in the game so long as you start off in the restaurant kitchen and bring along your favorite emetic poison vial.
Because of your outfit, none of these steps will raise any alarm at all. In the same room you start in, find the empty plate. Fix a special dish, add your emetic poison, then ring the bell.
After that, another employee will serve the dish to a guest who will get sick. This is probably not behavior that a kitchen manager would like to reward, but hey, it counts in the video game and it completes this first challenge!
Stick It To The Man
The goal here is to kill Hush while Agent 47 is wearing a homeless outfit.
The most important part of the loadout here is to bring along your favorite silenced pistol. Hush is quite the wanderer and your window to kill him without getting jumped will often be short. Starting at the River-Side Walkway will save you a few seconds, but any ground location will do. Coins will help but aren't critical. Lastly, either bring along a lockpick or a crowbar.
Turn around and go straight up the stairs from your starting point. Keep going straight and you'll run into a group of homeless people keeping warm by a barrel. They're arguing with each other and one will meander away.
Knock this guy out and snag his uniform. Hide his body in either of two nearby containers, but keep an eye out for his friend that patrols back and forth. Now it's just a matter of getting a shot in at Hush without alerting the entire building.
The usual way to Hush involves a frisk and lots of guards, both of which we'd like to avoid. Instead, climb up the ladder at this location and hop into the window. After a short trip down the hall, you'll be in the interview room.
Leap out of the window in this room and you'll start to make your way to the upper floors without prying eyes and guards.
Climb up the pipe and onto the balcony above you. Make your way to the opposite end and pick the lock on the door there,
If you did not bring coins, there is a crowbar and a car battery in this room. Give any one of them a toss to briefly attract the three guards away so that you can get to the final staircase that leads to Hush.
He will patrol these two floors, but if you're not eager to go sneaking around a bunch of guards, he will patrol right by this stairwell; you can shoot him quickly from here to complete the challenge!
Venting Some Stress
This final redacted challenge shifts the focus from Hush to Royce. To complete this, Royce must be killed with poisoned air.
The ideal starting loadout here is to begin in the facility locker room as you'll immediately start right next to your first step with the exact outfit you need. And, obviously, you'll need your favorite lethal poison pills or vial. The rest can be customized for personal taste.
Leave the room and head right toward ICA Employee Vetting. On the table, you'll find a tier 2 access dongle that you'll need on a table and, for some reason, picking it up is not an illegal action.
Leave the room from the opposite side on which you entered and, on your right, there will be doors blocking the way to the Analysis Room. Bust out your phone, scan the panel, and head down the stairs.
There is a lot to scan in this room, but you only need to scan the top of the terminals of the three employee computers. Each time you do so, the employee will exclaim something about it being too early for a break. When all three have been placed on break, you'll be ready for the next part of the scheme.
Follow the employees to the break room, then go to the next room after and find the ventilator. Go ahead and poison it now. Don't worry, the poison won't actually be distributed until you command the air conditioner to turn on from the panel outside of the door.
To be on the safe side, hack the glass of the break room to make it dark. This will ensure that you can mess around outside without any visual from those who are inside of the room.
At this point, it's just playing the waiting game. When Royce enters the room, manually activate the air conditioning (not with your phone). Do not forget to disable it before entering the room unless you want to suffer the same fate as the occupants.
