The Hitman community has been largely negative towards the Seven Deadly Sins post-launch content for Hitman 3, but it finally has something to be happy about - the Goldballer is finally becoming an unlockable.

The Goldballer is a gold version of Agent 47's iconic dual pistols and made an appearance in the Mendoza mission of the game. Agent 47 could build the Goldballer in an optional mission, but couldn't unlock it outside of Mendoza, beyond appearing in an escalation.

Fans have been asking for the Goldballer to be made available in the main game since Hitman 3's launch in January, and IO Interactive is finally listening and adding it to the Season of Lust. Players will be able to unlock it by beating the Carpathian Mountains mission after the Season of Lust update drops.

IO seems to know how much the fans have wanted this variant of the gun, as when it announced the gun being added through Twitter, it said, "Here it is, The ICA 19 Goldballer, Lookin' good! Soon yours to unlock in the upcoming Season of Lust".

Reaction to the Goldballer has been largely very positive with 1.7k upvotes, with one reaction on the Hitman subreddit summing it up nicely - "LESSSS GOOOOOOO". Usually, the addition of a new gun wouldn't be too interesting for the community, but the reaction to Hitman 3's post-launch content has been extremely negative for some time now.

Scrolling through the Hitman subreddit has it full of memes making fun of the content, and it's the same story whenever a new Hitman trailer or social media post is released. Fans have lamented the focus on escalations, the ugly suits, the lack of any real additions to the game, and pretty much every element of the game's DLC strategy.

For a series that's so built on both its community and post-launch support, Hitman 3 has been a bit of a letdown, but with the Goldballer being made into an unlock for all players, it's looking like a step in the right direction.
