Agent 47 from Hitman is easily one of the most dangerous characters in the video game world. His abilities have reached incredible lengths, to the point where fans have made memes about the logic he defies in conducting his assassin activities. All jokes aside, 47 has managed to become a true force in terms of his skills.

There’s enough known about 47 that he can be matched against other characters in gaming. These are limited to those protagonists and antagonists who don’t have powers, as this would simply be an unfair match-up. There are still many names that do make for interesting clashes, and you’ll be surprised to find out which characters these are.

10 Can Beat: Sam Fisher

Sam Fisher taking down an enemy

Agent 47 and Sam Fisher have been compared before for being video game characters with very similar abilities. Both employ stealth as their main weapon and can attack when people least expect it. However, Sam is far too into his stealth mechanics to be considered for a straight-up fight.

47’s superior combat skills far outstrip that of Fisher’s, and he can easily match the latter when it comes to the matter of hiding in plain sight. 47 is even better in this regard, as Sam Fisher usually employs darkness as his ally while the former is lethal in any scenario.

9 Can't Beat: Leon S. Kennedy

This is a very unique match-up, as one would expect 47 to be superior on paper. However the fact of the matter is that Leon has faced outright monstrous beings and walked away alive. He’s used his fight skills and weapons to do so, without needing any powers.

In a fight between Leon and 47, the former would make sure they were facing in an open environment where he wouldn't need to worry about 47’s stealth. In a straight-up combat confrontation, Leon’s survival skills are sure to best 47’s assassin approach.

8 Can Beat: Niko Bellic

There are a lot of GTA logic memes that poke fun at how powerful a man like Niko seems to be. While he’s certainly the strongest GTA main character, Niko can’t match 47’s polished skills. Niko’s military background and sheer strength is impressive mainly against foes who fight face-to-face.

47 is such a character who can use a person’s strength against them, meaning Niko’s tactics will turn on him. He would never be able to find a 47 using stealth as his weapon, making this a certain victory for the assassin.

7 Can't Beat: Ezio Auditore

Ezio hiding in plain sight

Ezio doesn't rank as the top assassin in the series for nothing. Even if he were to be transported to modern days, Ezio would still be a force to be reckoned with. 47 might be good in stealth, but he still doesn’t have the incredible chameleon-like abilities that Ezio does.

Both have been trained since youth, although Ezio’s skills are much larger in scale, having contended with situations where the future of the world might be threatened. His extreme agility is such that 47 wouldn’t be able to get a hold of Ezio. That is if he can ever find out where Ezio is hiding in the first place.

6 Can Beat: Nathan Drake

Nate has easily scaled taller heights than 47, and might even have the upper hand where climbing and roughing it out is concerned. However, he’s always been more of a brawler than an actual fighter, making a real confrontation with the likes of 47 a situation where he’s going to get killed.

47’s precision with firearms is such that Nate’s plot armor will be of no good either, with even one glance in 47’s direction certain to be the one where he gets shot. 47 also has vastly superior strength levels, which he probably won’t even need due to easily being the better fighter.

5 Can't Beat: Batman

Batman in Arkham

Technically speaking, Batman has no powers either and his gadgets are basically the same as 47’s vast arsenal of weapons. 47 might be genetically enhanced, but there’s no contending with Batman’s gifted abilities that have seen him become the peak of human perfection.

He’s probably more learned than 47 in the combat styles one can train in, as well as having vastly superior analytical skills and tools. Batman’s stealth is such that he could be anywhere from the ceiling to the rooftops or even under the floor. All this renders 47 weak in just about every regard compared to the Caped Crusader.

4 Can Beat: John Marston

John Marston holding a rifle

John Marston has some of the best quotes to utter in gaming, in such a way that he can intimidate someone simply through his words. He also possesses precision aiming, something that allowed him to kill in numbers. He’ll still come short against 47, though, who also has the skill of precision aiming.

Marston’s strength lies in keeping distances between himself and his targets, but 47 will be certain to cover this ground by tactically making his way toward Marston without the latter realizing it. As soon as they’re in range for a hand-to-hand confrontation, the win is guaranteed to be 47’s.

3 Can't Beat: Deadshot

Deadshot killing Batman

In what would be a battle of assassins, it should be Deadshot who should get a comfortable win. As seen in Batman: Arkham City, Deadshot can even beat Batman if he’s given the slightest of openings. 47 has no armor to protect himself, nor is he quick enough to dodge shots.

In any firearm-based fight, Deadshot should have the easy win since he’s adept with basically any gun. 47 will probably have the upper hand in a physical fight, but Deadshot never allows a situation to get this far and will have finished 47 beforehand.

2 Can Beat: Max Payne

Max Payne shooting

Max Payne possesses a pair of the most powerful dual-wielding weapons, although his own skill is much lower than that of 47’s. His time-slowing speed is matched by 47’s precision aiming, which is basically the same thing.

Max Payne doesn’t have the level of stamina or endurance that 47 has, and is also prone to letting the situation get to his head. Meanwhile, 47’s ruthlessness will be something Payne will have no answer for, and it would be a matter of time before he’s hunted down and killed.

1 Can't Beat: Solid Snake

Metal Gear Solid 4 Solid Snake Making His Way Through PMC Troops

Solid Snake is every bit as badass as his quotes make him out to be. The guy might just be the best character there is where camouflage and stealth is concerned, to the point where 47 won’t be able to track him. Like 47, Snake is also genetically superior and has an enormous level of skill in combat.

In terms of feats, Snake is just too far ahead as he’s battled supernatural level foes and A.I. that count as weapons of destruction. This blend of chaotic and stealth experience makes him more capable than 47, and Snake should come away with the win after 47’s unable to get a reading on him.
