And so Hitman 2’s first Elusive Target mission has been announced. Who’s the target? Well, a man who’s certainly grown accustomed to shuffling off this mortal coil: Sean Bean.

As movie fans will know, the British acting legend has faced the Grim Reaper many, many times in TV and film. He’s taken multiple Uruk-Hai arrows to the everything in The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, he’s lost his head in Game of Thrones, and a herd of cows pushed him off a cliff in The Field. Check out IMDb’s list of the various other grim things that have happened to him.

Nobody likes to be typecast, though. What if the almighty Bean really wanted to spread his wings, and meet a horrible demise in a video game instead? Well, Hitman 2’s about to give him the chance to do exactly that.

To back up a little here, it’s important to note that the target character of this first Elusive Target mission isn’t actually Bean himself. Rather, it’s Mark Faba, a character the actor is simply voicing.

As the live-action trailer makes clear, Faba is not a man to mess with. He’s experienced in eliminating targets himself. He’s talented, he’s ruthless, and he’s attained MacGyver levels of resourcefulness when it comes to making weapons. As the character, Bean goes on a self-deprecating little tirade about all the times that enemies have tried to snuff him out, and he’s just kept coming back.

If you’ve been out of the Hitman loop for a while, Elusive Target is a new mission type that first appeared in the previous title. They’re time-limited event missions, which you only have one shot to complete (you can restart, but once it’s over, that’s it). It’s certainly a high-pressure way to play, but that’s how a lot of Hitman fans like to test their chops.

If you like the idea of taking on Sean Bean’s latest unfortunate character, you’d better get on board with Hitman 2, which drops on November 13th for PC, Xbox One and PS4.

In a neat touch, as reported by IGN, Faba demonstrates three improvised weapons in the short clip above: a robot toy, a pair of earbuds and a little explosive pen. Players can vote for the one they’d most like to see as an unlockable weapon on the game’s official site.
