It's been revealed that puzzle-platformer Hoa will release for the PS4 and PS5 three months after the game's initial launch.

In a news post on PlayStation's official blog, PM Studios Marketing Director Paul Hartling announced that Hoa is coming to PlayStation consoles. Hoa is scheduled to release at some point next month for PC and Nintendo Switch, but people wanting to play the game on a PlayStation console will have to wait until July. Unfortunately, Hartling didn't announce a specific release date for the PS5 and PS4 versions.

However, he did announce that pre-orders for the physical PS4 and PS5 versions of Hoa are currently available at select retailers. People who order the physical version will be treated to a voucher for the digital soundtrack, a postcard, and a personal message from Hoa herself.

For those playing on PS5, thanks to the DualSense you'll be able to better immerse yourself in Hoa's world. Players will be able to make Hoa fly for a limited time, but the more flight energy that Hoa uses the harder the trigger will be to pull due to the controller's adaptive triggers. The Dualsense's haptic feedback will also mimic actions and events that take place over the course of the game.

Hoa is a gorgeous puzzle-platformer from developer Skrollcat Studios and is being published by PM Studios, the same publisher behind side-scrolling, hack and slasher Bladed Fury. The game has the player controlling the titular Hoa who is returning to her homeland after a tragic event forced her to leave as a baby.

As you begin to explore Hoa's homeland, her fairy power starts to breathe life back into the land and wakes its residents from their long slumber. You'll control Hoa as she explores her forgotten homeland and discovers more about her unknown past.

Hoa was one of the stand out games to be featured in the first ever Wholesome Direct last year, and you can see why. The Ghibli-esque art style alone is enough to turn heads, but couple that with a heartwarming story and some stunning hand-painted environments and Hoa is looking like it has all the hallmarks of an indie darling.

As previously mentioned, Hoa doesn't have a release date for any version of the game. What we do know is that Hoa will launch at some point in April for both PC and Nintendo Switch, and that the PlayStation versions of the game will launch at some point in July. Keep an eye on TheGamer for news about a specific release date in the near future.
