A Hogwarts Legacy has been spotted with a release date of September 1, hinting at a release date for Avalanche's upcoming RPG.

Warner Bros. has been keen to assure people that both Hogwarts Legacy and Gotham Knights aren't going to be delayed out of 2022, mentioning their release dates through various articles and during investor interviews. Although gamers remain sceptical about either game making it this year, more evidence has been found that Hogwarts Legacy is on track.

As reported by The Rowling Library, Insight Editions is publishing The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy in September. The Rowling Library reports that the book will release on September 1, although searching for its ISBN number on Google shows it as having a September 6 release date. It will reportedly be authored by Jody Revenson, who is known for writing several Harry Potter tie-in books such as "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Movie Magic” and “Harry Potter Paper Craft”.

Even with the confusion regarding an exact date, it looks like the art book for Hogwarts Legacy will be released in September. Art books usually follow the game's launch or release a little after the fact, so it implies that Hogwarts Legacy itself will release in or before September. This lines up with what was said by insider AccountNGT, the leaker who had access to Star Wars: Eclipse information before it was announced, who said that the game would release sometime in September.

It's worth keeping in mind that, even if Hogwarts Legacy does launch in September, the art book might still be working from a placeholder date. Art books are also infamous for being delayed past the game's launch, so if you're planning on picking it up then you might be better to expect it sometime a few months later.

As has been pointed out by fans, September 1 would be a perfect release date for Hogwarts Legacy and its art book, as it's actually the date when Hogwarts students start their school year.
