Avalance Software has released a new Hogwarts Legacy trailer that takes on an ASMR format to show off Hogwarts and Hogsmeade in the rain.

The video is titled "A Rainy Spring Night" and shows exactly what it says it will - Hogwarts in the rain. The 20 minute video has various shots of Hogwarts in the rain, but it also swaps over to Hogsmeade at various points in the trailer to give a better look at that area too.

As you'd expect from an ASMR video that wants you to focus on the noise as much as possible, there isn't any music playing in the video at all, just the sounds of rain, owls, and crickets. Although we did recently get our first proper look at how Hogwarts Legacy will play, this ASMR video is ironically one of the more detailed looks we've had at the game so far, as we get to see a decent amount of locations in the video and get to focus in on them more to see all the smaller details.

Unlike the films, J.K. Rowling isn't involved in the development of Hogwarts Legacy, but she will make money from the game's release. At TheGamer, we acknowledge her role in the creation of the Wizarding World as well as her publicly stated, bigoted views regarding the trans community. Hopefully, the game will provide a meaningful approach to such sensitive topics, but already there are some doubts about that.

In March, Hogwarts Legacy finally got the extended gameplay presentation at the State of Play, revealing how exactly the title will play and what it has to offer — including the goblins as villains who have historically been portrayed using anti-Semitic stereotypes throughout the books and films.

The latest footage is an indication that Hogwarts Legacy is definitely gearing up for a launch at some point this year. The project still has no exact release date, although we know it's arriving this holiday across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
