Honkai: Star Rail is the newest turn-based RPG by Genshin Impact developers, Hoyoverse. Just like its predecessor in Genshin, Star Rail offers a myriad of lovable characters through their gacha system in which you can use in-game currency to roll and try your luck at your favorite characters.

Being a team-based game, party composition is quite important to succeed in the main story, and it may be quite difficult to progress if you are not equipped with the best characters available to you. March 7th is one of the main characters that join you in your trailblazing adventure, and here are her best possible companions.

7 Dan Heng

Dan Heng is the final piece of the three main characters alongside March 7th and the Trailblazer. An aloof, and sometimes cold, scholar, Dan Heng is often annoyed by the shenanigans that March 7th gets herself in.

Although they couldn't be any more different than each other, both of these pair quite nicely. Dan Heng has the lowest HP in the game and one of the best single target four-star DPS in the game, making him the best target for March 7th's shields.

6 Clara

Clara is a young girl you meet in the frozen world of Jarillo-VI alongside her cold and calculated companion, Svarog. This duo is one of the best DPS in the game, bar none, as Clara can aggro your enemies as she enters the battle and her damage output increases depending on which enemies attack her.

Her counter marks get removed once you use her skill for that burst of damage, but once you level her to Eidolon 1, the marks will stay after using her skill. Her massive damage and sustainability, combined with March 7th's shields and debuff removal, can make Clara nearly untouchable by any enemy.

5 Tingyun

Although Tingyun is a four-star character, her kit makes her one of the best supports in the game. Not only can she buff one of your characters by increasing their attack, but her buff also gives that character additional lightning damage to their attacks, proving you with extra weakness attacks if fighting against enemies weak against that element.

The biggest reason why she pairs so nicely with March 7th is not so much her skill, but her ultimate. It performs another buff on a character by increasing their attack but it also refills their energy by fifty, letting March 7th cast shields more often.

4 Bailu

With only two options for healers in the game upon release, Bailu definitely sticks out as the best of the two. Bailu's large healing output gets bigger as the healed characters get hit so pairing her with March 7th's shields is an easy win.

With Bailu and March 7th both in your party, your DPS characters will never die, and on the off chance that they do, Bailu can quickly revive them to get them back into the fray. Even if March 7th dies, with Bailu's revive she can continue casting shields.

3 Natasha

Natasha is the other healer available in Star Rail at launch and although Bailu outshines her in every way possible, she still deserves a spot next to March 7th solely for the fact that she is available for free as you progress in the main story.

While her healing is not far behind that of Bailu's, without a revive skill built into her kit and no other supplemental healing, she falls a bit flat. That is not to say that the Underworld doctor won't save you in a pinch, especially with her overworld technique that can debuff enemies before entering battle.

2 Arlan

As the head of security at the Herta Space Station, Arlan is the definition of the underdog. Do not be fooled by his appearance, this young man can hit like a truck after he's been kicked around a bit, and the lower Arlan's HP is, the higher his damage output will be.

Arlan's glass cannon nature is a perfect match for March 7th's protective shields in a pinch before he meets his end. While it may be scary to get Arlan that low in HP, a perfectly timed shield will save you for Arlan's next power turn.

1 Trailblazer - Fire

If you are not lucky enough to pull some of the big damage characters like Clara or Seele, maybe a more defense-oriented party might be in the stars for you. Luckily, after progressing enough in the main story, you are able to change your Trailblazer's element to fire, changing their kit entirely.

The physical version of the Trailblazer was more focused on being both single target and AoE DPS, whereas the fire version focuses on drawing aggro and proving party-wide shields, making him a great match for March 7th. Shields on shields on shields!
