It's a very common strategy to make a game free and have microtransactions like the battle pass in them, and Honkai: Star Rail follows the same strategy. After getting into the game, you can make purchases to get Oneiric Pouch, upgrade items, blessings, and battle pass.

The battle pass is called Nameless Honor in the game, and it gives you plenty of free rewards for completing tasks. If you purchase the premium tier, you can get extra Star Rail Special passes, jades, and many other things. This is a worthy investment if you can afford it.

How To Unlock Nameless Honor

You won't have the battle pass unlocked from the start of the game. As you progress in the main story, you'll get to a planet called Jarilo-VI. You have to get to the underground part of this planet where Seele is introduced. After the first dialogue, you'll unlock your Daily Training and other level-up methods.

You can unlock your battle pass after this quest as well, but you have to reach Trailblaze level 13. As soon as you reach the required level, the game will take you to the battle pass' screen and you can start finishing the tasks to get rewards.

Nameless Honor Tasks Guide

Honkai Star Rail Task Screen

Once you open the battle pass screen, you can see the tasks by clicking on the middle button at the top of your screen. This area will have some Daily, Weekly, and Period missions:

  • Daily tasks will reset every day when it hits 00:00 server time, and you should clear them every day.
  • The weekly tasks will reset at 00:00 server time on Monday. It's important to finish as many tasks in this section as possible.
  • Finally, the period missions last for the entire battle pass, and some of them stay the same for different periods. Though some tasks get added in between like the tasks for specific events.

Whenever you finish a task, you'll get the corresponding Nameless EXP that will contribute to your battle pass. You get one level for 800 EXP, and there's a weekly limit of 8000. If you do all your weekly and daily tasks, you'll most likely reach the limit every week, which is why it's not necessary to finish them all.

The period missions aren't a part of the 8,000 weekly limit, which means that you'll still get EXP from those tasks.

If you're in the early game, you might not be able to finish some of the weekly tasks. Don't sweat too much about it, it's quite easy to finish the battle pass in Honkai: Star Rail.

If you've bought the battle pass and can't decide which weapon to pick in the Treasure of the Starry Seas, you can read about them in the third section at the top of the battle pass screen. Compare the Light Cones to your current characters on the following aspects:

  • Pay attention to the characters that you've upgraded the most since you'll want to buff their power. Though you can also pick characters that you're planning to upgrade soon.
  • Once you have a list of potential characters that can use a weapon, try to compare their Traces with the respective weapon's ability. This will give you an idea of the synchronization between them.
  • If you think that a particular Light Cone fits well with a certain character's abilities, pick it and upgrade it to get the full potential. Keep in mind that the Light Cone's ability will trigger only if the paths of the character and the Cone are the same.

Don't get a weapon that you won't use for a while since the battle pass resets every update, and you can get the same weapons again.

Though you won't be able to get any of these weapons from the regular Gacha System in the game.
