Once you acquire a character in Honkai: Star Rail, there are a lot of things you have to consider. The first order of business is to get them the Light Cone and Relics that'll suit their overall path and abilities. Once you're done building them, the next thing to consider is their best team members.

Physical Trailblazer is a free five-star character in the game, and you can acquire them by progressing in the main story. Following the path of Destruction, they're one of the best DPS characters in the game, and these team members can increase their value even further.

Updated on June 20, 2023, by Sanyam Jain: With time, the developers release new characters belonging to various paths in Honkai: Star Rail. Some of these characters synergize quite well with the power of Physical Trailblazer, making them even stronger. Silver Wolf is one such addition to the game.

9 Bronya

Bronya is one of the few characters who goes well with almost every DPS in the game. Her Skill can remove a debuff from one ally, give them an instant turn, and increase their damage for that turn. Moreover, her Ultimate increases the DMG of all allies for two turns as well. She's one of the few characters you shouldn't mind losing your 50/50 to.

Physical Trailblazer can already deal massive damage to single or multi-target enemies. The only weakness for the character is that their Effect RES isn't that high, so they can get immobilizing debuff quite often. Bronya will help you remove these debuffs apart from increasing your overall damage.

8 Silver Wolf

Physical Trailblazer is one of the best characters to remove an enemy's Toughness bar if they have Physical Weakness. They can shred the bar for up to three enemies while using the Skill and Ultimate. Although, their value decreases when you're fighting an enemy without the required Weakness.

Silver Wolf fixes that as she can implant one Weakness in an enemy using her Skill. If the enemy is already weak to the combat types of other party members, they'll always get the Physical Weakness. When you're attacking them using Physical Trailblazer, the enemies with implanted Weakness will also take more damage.

7 Himeko

Honkai Star Rail Himeko Splash and Menu

One of the outshining aspects of Physical Trailblazer's kit is how fast they can deplete an enemy's Toughness bar if they're weak to the Physical combat type. Apart from boss enemies, you can usually remove all the shields within two to three attacks. This synergizes perfectly with Himeko's Technique.

Her Technique lets her do a special AoE attack whenever three enemy Toughness bars have been broken. If you put Himeko and Physical Trailblazer against multiple enemies with Fire and Physical weakness, they won't ever have their Toughness bar active.

6 Natasha

There's no arguing the fact that healers are one of the most important roles in Honkai: Star Rail because of the turn-based combat system. Moreover, even though they're on the Destruction path, Physical Trailblazer doesn't have a lot of survivability in their kit by default.

You can get a talent that increases your DEF by 20 percent, but that's not a lot, and the talent can only be unlocked in the late game. To prevent Trailblazer from getting knocked out in battle, a healer like Natasha can be perfect. After upgrading her a bit, she can also remove one debuff from an ally.

5 Tingyun

Tingyun is considered one of the best four-star characters in the game because of her buffing abilities. She buffs one character upon using both her Skill and Ultimate, and these buffs can last up to three and two turns respectively. Though you can't buff two characters with your Skill at the same time

.Much like Bronya, she is a great party member for Physical Trailblazer simply because of the damage boost provided. Though you can also have some Lightning DMG if you have her, which can be good against enemies weak to that combat type.

4 Sushang

Some floors in Forgotten Hall or worlds in Simulated Universe can have multiple bosses that are weak to the Physical combat type. While Destruction Trailblazer is already good at shredding the Toughness bar, the effect can be even better if you pair them with Sushang.

She's a Hunt character, which means she excels at single-target DPS. If you have these two characters on the team, you can put two supports without worry since they'll take care of the damage part. Though this combination might not be as good against enemies that aren't weak to Physical.

3 Sampo

Honkai Star Rail Sampo Splash and Menu

Sampo is an Erudition character who belongs to the Wind combat type. Much like every other character on this path, he's great at shredding an enemy's Toughness bar as well. If you put him together with Physical Trailblazer, you could have some great AoE damage on your team.

Honkai: Star Rail has plenty of bosses that summon smaller enemies every few turns. It's usually a bad idea to go after these enemies, especially in a place like Forgotten Halls. The AoE from these two characters and Sampo's Wind Shear effect helps you a lot against these enemies.

2 Pela

Honkai Star Rail Pela Splash and Menu

Pela is one of the niche characters in Honkai: Star Rail, and she has the Ice combat type. Her Ultimate and Technique can heavily reduce an opponent's DEF, but the Skill isn't as good unless the enemy applies a buff to itself. Though Pela can be great when put together with Physical Trailblazer.

Just like Bronya and Tingyun, she can increase your overall damage, but she also helps with removing an enemy's Toughness if they're weak to Ice. Moreover, you can have a good uptime on her Ultimate during the late game once you start farming for Relics.

1 Herta

Honkai Star Rail Herta Splash and Menu

Herta is another Ice character that has a special follow-up mechanic that triggers whenever an enemy goes below 50 percent health. With Physical Trailblazer's AoE, there will be times when you can get multiple characters below 50 percent at the same time, which triggers multiple Herta follow-ups.

These two characters can be great together if you're planning to farm some Calyx or fight hordes of smaller enemies. You'll finish your runs much faster with the AoE from both characters.NEXT: Honkai: Star Rail - Five Star Character Tier List
