In most cases where you are using Qingque in Honkai: Star Rail, she will be your main Damage Per Second (DPS) dealer. Qingque's talent allows her to deal maximum damage once she has collected four random tiles, with one randomly drawn at the beginning of every ally's turn.

Other than that, she mainly deals Quantum damage. She is best paired with teammates who can boost her DPS rate, speed, or defense. Pairing Qingque with someone who can lower enemy defenses, like Pela, will also prove to be an excellent way to ensure you're maximizing your damage with Qingque.

In general, your team setup should probably consist of your main DPS (Qingque), a sub-DPS, and two supports if you want to streamline combat.

7 Tingyun

If you manage to pull Tingyun in the gacha early enough, then you will be delighted to learn that she is an excellent support character, especially on Qingque's team. Tingyun is a Harmony-type character who deals Electric damage. Being on the path of Harmony means that she will be most useful in applying buffs to your allies.

She is one of the better support characters in the game, as she increases her allies' attack damage. As an additional bonus, whenever Tingyun uses her ultimate ability, she gives 50 regenerated Energy to your chosen ally while simultaneously increasing their damage temporarily.

Because Tingyun can really only apply buffs and isn't focused so much on dealing high amounts of damage herself, she's best on a team that can also debuff the enemy. Buff yourself to boost your damage output and debuff the enemy by lowering their defenses, and taking on Elite enemies won't seem so challenging anymore.

6 Pela

Pela is another great support character who excels at debuffing your enemies. She lowers their defense, so even if you're up against something particularly challenging with a shield that you can't break through or far more health than is fair, you at least stand a decent chance.

She does need to be drawn in the gacha pulls because she isn't obtainable through story missions like Herta and Natasha are. Regardless, if you do manage to get Pela on your team, don't waste any time leveling her up.

She complements Qingque incredibly well, specifically because she can debuff the enemy, allowing Qingque to shine as a DPS character. Her skills and talents let you keep your team at the forefront of battle, passively mitigating damage by just making it hard for the enemy to take their move.

5 Herta

Honkai Star Rail Herta Splash and Menu

Herta is a character you should have access to from the near beginning of the game. So, when you can finally draw Qingque and utilize her in your team, Herta will be right there and ready to join, unlike some other characters on this list. Herta best serves as a Sub DPS character.

Her character type is Erudition, so she'll be mainly focused on dealing Area of Effect damage and taking out large groups of enemies all at once. She mainly deals ice damage, so that will be another elemental type ticked off of your list to ensure your shield-breaking bases are covered.

As a passive ability, when an enemy's health drops below 50 percent, she will automatically trigger an additional AoE attack. So, if you opt to have this little chaotic genius on your team, prepare for her to be triggered a lot.

Regardless, her focus on mainly AoE damage means that having Qingque as your main damage dealer, focusing on targeting individuals, will offer you a nice variety in your attacks, keeping combat interesting and fun.

4 Bronya

Honkai Star Rail Bronya Splash and Menu

Bronya is hands down, one of the best support characters in the game, let alone of the best for Qingque's team. The only problem is that you have to be lucky enough to draw her in the gacha pulls. Regardless, she is a Harmony character who mainly deals wind damage. As a Harmony character, she focuses on buffing the team rather than damaging enemies.

She will increase the percentage of damage every team member deals to enemies, and her skill makes it so that your team can take more turns in combat and deal more damage. Unlike some other support characters you could put on your team, Bronya thrives in cutting enemies off in the turn order, letting you move through combat faster each time.

So, if you're challenging a Calynx and are going through six waves of enemies at a time, she is an absolute must for Qingque's team.

3 Welt

Welt is the best Sub DPS character you can have on Qingque's team. As a Nihility character, he debuffs the enemies while dealing a significant amount of damage to them. He mainly deals Imaginary damage, which allows him to imprison enemies and impair their movements for the next few turns.

Unfortunately, like most other characters in the game, if you want to actually play with Welt, you will have to draw him in the gacha. If there's any character you're aiming for in the gacha pulls, though, it should be Welt.

He works as a fantastic support character for Qingque, allowing her to make moves more often by essentially making enemies skip a turn. All the while, he's providing a good amount of complementary damage.

2 Asta

Asta is another character you should obtain for free in the beginning stages of Honkai: Star Rail. As a Harmony character who mainly deals fire damage, she's one of the most versatile characters in the game and will probably prove to be the most useful later on.

She's best served as a supporting character who boosts speed and damage for your team members. No matter what team formation you opt for, Asta will fit into it snuggly and, more than likely, always prove to be useful. If you struggle to get ahold of the various gacha support characters to best help Qingque shine, you should invest in Asta's leveling and power.

1 Natasha

Honkai Star Rail Natasha Splash Art and Menu

Natasha is the all-around support MVP on Qingque's team. Admittedly, she's not the best when dealing damage, but if you're prone to challenging high-level enemies before you should without healing items on hand, then she's great to keep around. Natasha can heal injured allies with her skill, and, with her ultimate, she can heal the entire team.

No matter what team setup you have with Qingque, Natasha needs to be on it. Fortunately, you don't have to roll and re-roll the gacha to try and get her on your team, as she is an automatic obtain after you've completed the Jarilo-VI mission "Lying Among The Rust." She will save your hide plenty of times throughout Jarilo-VI and afterward, though don't let her make you complacent.

She may be able to heal you and your characters, but that doesn't mean she'll be able to do it in time. Being able to break your enemies quickly is vital to mitigating damage in Honkai: Star Rail. A doctor can't bring you back from the dead, so make sure you consider some of the other entries on this list too.
