The fifth world in the Simulated Universe brings you face to face against the mysterious Stellaron Hunter, Kafka. Her dominance on the battlefield makes her one of the most difficult battles in the game, and here's everything you need to know.

Possible Enemies In World Five

Chart of Elite Enemies of World 5 in Honkai: Star Rail.

Your adventure across World Five will make you confront different enemies from the Antimatter Legion, Fragmentum Monsters, and Xianzhou Luofu factions. While most of the phases in this world display foes of a minor rank and randomized events, there are four specific Elite enemies, and one boss fight against Kafka.

Tips & Abilities

Disciples of Sanctus Medicus: Shape Shifter

  • Ice
  • Wind
  • Imaginary
  • Physical
  • Fire
  • Lightning
  • Quantum

This enemy has access to different abilities that will inflict Lightning Damage, and while they're nothing out of the ordinary, they can also use Vigor Draining, a technique that will restore some of their HP when they hit you. Hurry up and dispatch it as soon as possible, and you should be fine.

The Disciples of Sanctus Medicus: Shape Shifter can also summon Mara-Struck Soldiers, but those can be quickly beaten.

Blaze Out of Space

  • Physical
  • Ice
  • Quantum
  • Fire
  • Lightning
  • Wind
  • Imaginary

This fiery monster will buff its own Attack by using Molten Fusion, while also inflicting Fire Damage to your party. One particular combo they can use is Blazing Absorption followed by Rain of Purifying Flames, which will deal Fire Damage with a high chance to inflict the Enkindle effect.

Guardian Shadow

  • Physical
  • Wind
  • Quantum
  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Lightning
  • Imaginary

The Guardian Shadow has several abilities that will inflict Lightning Damage, but the spiciest techniques in her kit are a group of four called Tranquil Ban, Disarm Ban, Silent Ban, and Inevitable Punishment. These abilities will apply an effect to your party members that will trigger an auto attack or Lightning Damage from the Guardian Shadow every time you attack it. It is highly advised to have characters that can shield, mitigate or heal damage consistently.

Voidranger: Trampler

  • Physical
  • Wind
  • Imaginary
  • Fire
  • Ice
  • Lightning
  • Quantum

This enemy is pretty tame, with several Quantum Damage-related abilities but no extra spawns to show. However, you must pay attention to its Spiral Arrow + End of Bow combo, as it can deal massive Quantum Damage, and inflict the Entanglement debuff as well.

Stellaron Hunter: Kafka's Abilities

Technique

Effect

Midnight Tumult

Deals Lightning Damage to a target, inflicting Shock to the target for three turns.

Caressing Moonlight

Deals Lightning Damage to a target and any adjacent unit. If the target is Shocked, it also inflicts it on the adjacent units.

Silent and Sharp Mockery

Deals Lightning Damage to all targets.

Seething Whisper of the Fallen

Deals Lightning Damage to a target, with a high chance to Shock the target. At the same time, deals Lightning Damage to every other Shocked target.

Tremble

If a target is currently Shocked, it inflicts Shock Damage.

Griever

Every time a target triggers the Shock state, the Damage dealt by Kafka slightly increases.

Spirit Whisper

Has a high chance of Dominating a single target and making them immediately attack a random ally.

Cruelty

When friendly or Dominated units inflict any kind of Damage to a Shocked target, it triggers one extra Lightning attack per turn.

Psychological Suggestion

Applies Psychological Suggestion to multiple targets, and adds Revelation onto the action bar. The next time Revelation takes action, any targets with Psychological Suggestion will become Dominated.

Kafka's first phase will see her accompanied by two soldiers that can be quickly beaten, just take care of them first so they don't annoy you while Kafka inflicts Lightning damage to your party, and the first HP bar should go out quickly.

This is when things start getting fun, and Kafka will now use more Lightning Damage abilities that you must either heal or mitigate as soon as possible. The moves she uses during this second phase can also apply the Shock state, dealing damage over time to your party members while also increasing Kafka's damage output.

However, the final phase is when the boss fight becomes a proper nightmare, as Kafka has not one but three different moves that can trigger the Dominated debuff to any member of your party, turning your own teammates against you. This is by far the most difficult obstacle to overcome in this fight, so you must be prepared by either using several characters that can remove debuffs very quickly or by choosing the Path of Abundance at the beginning of this World.

World 5 Success Screen in Honkai: Star Rail

Given Kafka's abilities, you want to pay extra attention to units that can help to heal or remove debuffs while also thinking about her weaknesses and resistances, which is why having Natasha as your healer is the better choice for this world, even if Bailu is usually the best option in that role.

For DPS purposes, Clara will be the best option since she's a great Main DPS unit that can also remove debuffs, with Welt being a close second as the only Imaginary-type unit currently in the game. Then it's just a matter of choosing between a tank like Gepard that can provide shielding throughout all the stages while inflicting some Ice Damage (which can help with some Elite bosses), or adding some supporting DPS like Bronya, Dan Heng, or the Trailblazer of the Destruction Path.

On the Path side, I'm going to be fully honest, you should choose basically any path until you unlock the Path of Abundance. You can play using the Path of the Hunt if you have a strong Healer or a unit that can remove debuffs like Natasha, Bronya, or Clara, but the truth is that for Kafka's specific fight, you will be always better with the Path of Abundance's blessings.

The Path Resonance: Abundance ability is a great healing resource, but it becomes particularly useful against Kafka's Spirit Whisper when you upgrade it by adding the Resonance Formation: Anicca, which removes all debuff effects from your party, as well as giving them one stack of Subduing Evils that will help them resist the next debuff. This basically eliminates the main obstacle in the boss fight, so no path is as good as this one.
