According to a new study, the most anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive title is Horizon Forbidden West.

In 2017, Guerrilla Games released its biggest game ever: Horizon Zero Dawn. Open-world games were nothing new, but Horizon Zero Dawn was set in a very distinctive land of dangerous machines. Although the story started out slow, it turns into a captivating adventure for its protagonist, Aloy. Not surprisingly, the game was nominated for numerous awards. Fans have been wanting a sequel. During the PlayStation 5 showcase, Sony unveiled Horizon Forbidden West.

Horizon Forbidden West brings back Aloy in what looks to be a grand, new adventure. New machines are enveloped in stunning visuals, though sadly, Guerrilla Games confirmed it won't be a PS5 launch title.

In a study conducted by iPrice Group, the most anticipated PS5 exclusives and third-party titles were analyzed based on Google searches. In the exclusives category, Horizon Forbidden West was the most searched, followed by Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales and the Demon's Souls remake. The least searched exclusive was Astro's Playroom. As for third-parties, Resident Evil Village won by a landslide. Check out the charts iPrice Group put together below:

A stipulation with this study is it did not include games announced before the PS5 presentation, like Oddworld: Soulstorm. Also, it didn't include games with a generic title, so Stray didn't make the cut.

It should come as no surprise Horizon Forbidden West is highly anticipated. Horizon Zero Dawn was an exciting new IP with more story to tell by the game's end. A sequel was rumored before the presentation, fueling even more interest. Also, Horizon Zero Dawn has remained in the limelight with an upcoming PC port and a comic book series.

On the flip side, some might be surprised that Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is one of the lower searched exclusive titles, despite an impressive trailer. Meanwhile, Resident Evil Village being the most anticipated third-party game is certainly not a shock. No matter how one looks at it, the PS5 is going to have an impressive lineup of titles
