Soon we'll get another chance to say ahoy to Aloy, as Sony announced a State of Play dedicated to Horizon Forbidden West. The event will give us a peek at around 14 minutes of gameplay captured on a PS5. Here's how to watch the Horizon Forbidden West gameplay-focused State of Play.

Horizon Forbidden West is still set for this year, despite any delays caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. That means that Sony should be starting to ramp up its reveals. The last State of Play was understandably focused on Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, but now that that game is approaching release, it's time to shift focus. A 20-minute presentation all about Horizon Forbidden West sounds like a great start.

Those looking to tune in should set aside time on Thursday, May 27, 2021. The State of Play itself starts at 10pm BST / 2pm PT / 11pm CET. The pre-show kicks off five hours prior.

In the meantime, the original Horizon: Zero Dawn is still killing it on Steam. Sony investor documents also hint that it might soon find company on PC in the form of Uncharted 4. Even so, Horizon Forbidden West is topping a lot of lists of the few games that will actually justify buying a PS5. Some of TheGamer's writers think there's a lot to improve from the first game, while others are looking forward to water levels of all things.

Will we all be blown away by the gameplay on display? Will we finally get a concrete release date? And will Horizon fans finally get the make up they deserve? We might get answers (to everything but the last question) soon.
