Guerrilla Games has unveiled its PC-focused trailer for Horizon: Zero Dawn with a release date and impressive platform-specific features.

The PC port of the PS4 exclusive will be arriving on Steam and Epic Game Store on August 7th, 2020 for $49.99. While the price is steep in comparison to its PS4 counterpart, the features listed in Guerrilla's new trailer might be worth the added csot.

The game will have ultra-wide support, unlocked frame rates, dynamic foliage, graphical customization (like field of view sliders, model quality, anisotropic filter, render scale, and more), improved reflections, customizable mapping to the controller and mouse + keyboard, and benchmarking. In addition, this Complete Edition comes with all the DLC (The Frozen Wilds expansion and the costume packs) and a digital artbook.

Horizon: Zero Dawn came out with critical praise across the board, and the game went on to sell over 10 million copies. Now, with this game coming to PC, that number is sure to increase by quite a bit. It will likely be a test for Sony to see if releasing their games on Steam and Epic Game Store is viable as Horizon: Zero Dawn is the first major first-party exclusive game to be explored outside of PlayStation.

This move follows Microsoft, who have gone all-in on PC with Xbox Game Pass and Steam. All of their first-party lineup will be on Xbox consoles and PC from Day 1. The Halo series is progressively being ported on the platform with Halo 2 being the latest, and Halo Infinite is joining the list too when it releases this Holiday.

The next Horizon game, Forbidden West, was recently revealed during the PS5 Future of Gaming event. There has been no word of a release date or a PC port, but the game looks promising from the footage we have seen so far. The underwater footage looks outstanding, and the detail on Aloy's face is remarkable with tiny vellus hair becoming noticeable on the model.  No release date has been given for Forbidden West yet, but it has been confirmed it won't be a launch title for the PS5.
