If there's one thing we can thank 2020 for, it's for making hot chocolate bombs a trend. They look like giant chocolate truffles, but instead of the usual nougat or hazelnut spread, hot chocolate bombs contain a single-serving size of cocoa powder. Combine with steaming hot milk and the candy coating of the outer shell, and you've got an instant hot chocolate mix that looks as good as it tastes.

And best of all, you can make hot chocolate bombs look like pretty much anything so long as it's generally spherical. And you can put stuff in 'em too. Like, perhaps, a marshmallow shaped like a Pokemon.

Amateur baker and all-around Pokemon fanatic @miscellaneousmao used her confectioning prowess to create custom Poke Ball hot chocolate bombs, which she shared on Instagram and Reddit. The design is pretty much the same as any other hot chocolate bomb, only the outer shell is made to look like a Poke Ball, and inside each one is a custom marshmallow made to look like a Pokemon.

Starting with a regular Poke Ball, some hot milk melts the candy coating and reveals a chocolate-covered Wooloo. Next, a Great Ball melts to reveal a marshmallowy Swablu. And finally, the Ultra Ball hot chocolate bomb melts into a Mareep, the electric sheep.

You’ll note that there are a lot of cottony-soft Pokemon represented here. I’d suspect that has to do with being easier to craft wooly and soft Pokemon into marshmallows while also requiring the least amount of food dye. Jigglypuff, Clefairy, Cottonee, Whimsicott, and Swirlix would all make great options to stuff in her next hot chocolate Poke Ball.

If you head on over to miscellaneousmao's Instagram, you'll find that absolutely everything is homemade. She even made chocolate truffles for Pokemon GO's Community Day, and an Eevee pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. Keep scrolling and you'll find cakes, cake-pops, cupcakes, and all sorts of delicious desserts designed to be Pokemon.

Sadly, it doesn’t look like any of these are for sale. Probably for the best since Nintendo can be awfully litigious, but if I manage to get any of these delectable Pokemon, I will definitely not share.
