The wonderful world of the survival game Grounded is filled with a lot to experience in the backyard setting. You play as either Max, Willow, Pete, or Hoops, who have been shrunk down to the size of an ant, and you will need to do your best to survive in this backyard filled with all kinds of dangerous insects and threats.

You will be spending your time in the game making sure you have enough food and water, building a base, fighting off enemies like spiders who act as apex predators in this world, and exploring a fantastic new miniature environment.

How Long Does It Take To Complete?

Grounded Looking At A Bug

Even though it is a survival game, Grounded can sometimes feel more similar to role-playing games with a number of different NPC questlines, upgrades for your character's stats and equipment, and deep dungeons to explore.

With so much to this game, it is no surprise that Grounded has a decent playtime, especially when there is so much to collect and, of course, with the constant pressure to focus on surviving and making sure you have enough to stay alive. According to HowLongToBeat, it will take 20 hours to complete the main story.

As you progress through the game new areas of the backyard open up, revealing more enemies and things to discover. This keeps the game feeling fresh as you delve into areas like a turned-over grill that makes the area feel like you are moving through an active volcano over to a child's sandbox, making it feel like you truly are going on an adventure.

How Long To 100 Percent?

As mentioned, there is a lot to do in this game. You could be playing for dozens and dozens of hours and still consistently find new creatures. The boss fights can be a challenge, but one of the hardest things to do when getting 100 percent completion for this game will be to simply explore every nook and cranny that this miniature world has to offer.

If you aim to collect everything, build your base into a palace, and explore the expansive world, you are looking at around 90½ hours.

Overall, it will not be a quick game to complete, but if you have the time and enjoy getting lost in a world with plenty to do, Grounded might just be the game for you.
