You can now play a pretty addictive Fortnite mini-game while watching World Cup live streams. Here's how.

The first ever Fortnite World Cup is almost upon us. If you haven't already qualified for the tournament, during which $30 million in prize money will be up for grabs, then you don't have many opportunities left to do so. In fact, at the time of typing this, there is only one weekend of qualifiers left: This weekend. during which the last spots for the Duos side of the tournament in New York City will be determined.

Just because some of us aren't good enough to brush shoulders with the Fortnite elite in New York next month doesn't mean we can't still get in on the fun. You're able to watch Fortnite's finest battle it out courtesy of live streams, both in the tournament itself when it takes place and during qualifying weekends.

However, if you have already watched a stream or two you will know that while certain periods can be action-packed, others can be a difficult watch. Epic has also realized that and has ever so kindly supplied us with a mini-game to play during those periods. A simple arcade game kind of like Space Invaders but with a pizza slice spaceship and attacking Durr Burgers instead.

The game is the very same one that Jonesy and Peely were playing together during the trailer for Season 9. To play it, all you need to do is choose to watch the World Cup live stream from the Fortnite lobby and the game will pop up while the stream is loading. Once it has loaded, you can continue playing with the stream footage playing in the bottom corner, or take a break from destroying Durr Burgers and see how those vying to qualify are faring.

As you can see from the clip above, Jonesy and Peely had a lot of time to hone their craft on the game. That's why they hold the top scores. We're unsure whether it records other players' top scores and you can compete against one another, or if the ultimate aim is to simply knock off Jonesy and Peely. Either way, good luck!
