One of the most fun aspects of older games was discovering all the cheat codes included to change up how you played. The old Tony Hawk games had awesome cheats to mess around with, and the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 +2 has kept the tradition alive, but these cheats require more than just a code to activate.

The Tony Hawk games have never been the most realistic of sports games. Ever since the original you've been able to soar higher, grind for longer, and crash harder than any human ever could, but with cheats you can take those last remaining shreds of realism and toss them out the window for pure fantasy fun. While there are a couple cheats you can mess around with right off the bat in the new Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 remake, there are more you can unlock through the game itself, plus the assists that are basically cheats themselves. Here's how to unlock them all and what they do.

How To Unlock All Cheats In Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2

All the cheats you can unlock in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 can be activated through the Game Mods menu, which is also where you can access the assists. Unfortunately none of the cheats from the original PlayStation 1 versions of these games unlock anything in the PS4 remake, which is rather disappointing considering how much respect was paid to those originals, although many do return as assists.

Skater Size Cheat

This fun little cheat allows you to change the size of your skater to make them a shrunken down version, or a massive giant. To unlock this cheat you will need to beat the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 Tour.

Graphics Cheat

While the name is a little misleading, if you're a fan of visual filters, this cheat is for you. You'll be able to cycle through four different filters to change up how the game looks, such as black and white, old-timey, inverted color, and green boy. While you probably wouldn't want to play for very long with some of them, they're still fun to try out. You can unlock all of these filters by completing the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour.

Double Base Score Cheat

Once again this cheat requires you to beat the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour. Doing exactly as the name says, this cheat will double all the base scores for any trick, so if a move is normally worth 300 points it would become worth 600. Not very exciting compared to the others, but fun to have if you want to see just how high you can build your score.

Stats Cheat

This last cheat, once again, asks that you complete the Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 Tour to unlock. Activating this cheat lets you tune your skater's stats up to 'expert' or 'super stats' levels. Expert attempts to make the game more realistic, while super allows you to go crazy with fully buffed stats.

Assists

There are five assists you can toggle on and off right off the bat when starting up the game, although you can't use them during certain portions of the game, and they disable you from posting scores to leaderboards while active.

Perfect rail balance, perfect manual balance, and perfect lip balance all remove the balancing mini-game from grinds, manuals, and lip tricks respectively, essentially allowing you to perform these moves forever. Always special keeps your special meter full at all times, and no bails means you'll never fall and fail a trick.
