The next Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity update will move beyond cinematic cutscenes and reveal actual gameplay and characters in a 50-minute program at 8 am CST on September 25. The game’s official trailer highlighted the story, beautifully showcasing the events that happened 100 years prior to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This news comes from Twitter user PushDustIn-Nintendo News and Trivia, who helps Western fans with a translation assist.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is set to launch November 20, 2020, and for those who missed the launch trailer, we have included it below. Fans of Breath of The Wild are sure to be delighted at the sneak peek to the upcoming game, as it appears to maintain much of the mechanics and gameplay found in Breath of the Wild, while potentially increasing the action and chaos dramatically.

The trailer manages to accomplish two things incredibly well, both building excitement and provoking many questions. The excitement is built around staying true to the world that made Breath Of The Wild so engaging to play, the story from 100 years prior is apparently a playable experience, and maybe there will be more playable characters than simply Link, Zelda, and the Champions? Will we get the chance to actually fight in these epic battles that were only alluded to in Breath of the Wild?

Now, Zelda fans are likely chomping at the bit to get more details about Hyrule Warriors: Age Of Calamity. All they have to do is wait a little bit longer, and a huge chunk of gameplay footage will arrive. Be sure to tune in on September 25 at 8am for that sweet, sweet footage.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity will release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch on November 20, 2020.
