The world of Immortals: Fenyx Rising is about to get a lot bigger. Ubisoft has teamed up with Dark Horse Comics to publish a new graphic novel set within the game’s universe in an all-new adventure, Immortals Fenyx Rising: From Great Beginnings, on November 23.

Dark Horse's series will expand on the game’s mythology as it follows the titular Fenyx while she tries to find her place in both Mount Olympos and the world. An official synopsis for Immortals Fenyx Rising: From Great Beginnings from Dark Horse reads:

“Gods must face their past and unite for the legacy of the future in this Greek-mythology inspired graphic novel based on Ubisoft's video game Immortals Fenyx Rising! When earthquakes hit the hometown of Fenyx, she joins with her mother and Zeus to be saviors together. Dangerous creatures emerge, old flames reignite, and history is once again in the making!”

The novel will be written by Ben Kahn with art by Georgeo Brooks. As of yet, it is not clear whether this will be a continuation of the narrative established within the game, a prequel, or a complete rewrite of Fenyx’s story. While the game touched a bit on Greek Mythology and some of the characters featured within, Greek Myths are a vast trove of stories and possibilities with hundreds of characters to introduce and utilize in a narrative. No matter which routes the new graphic novel goes, it certainly has fun and limitless paths the story could take.

This new adventure will be the first graphic novel from Dark Horse to features the world and characters of Immortals: Fenyx Rising. Though, it's not the first time that Ubisoft has teamed up with the publisher to expand the world of their video games in comic or graphic novel form. Most recently, the two worked together on a short prequel series of comics based on the world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and a three-issue series based on Far Cry.

Immortals Fenyx Rising: From Great Beginnings will be available in stores as a paperback edition consisting of 64 colored pages and is advertised as suitable for all-ages.
