We're a mere day away from turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, and pumpkin pie, and even though this week isn’t exactly “stuffed” with a ton of new releases, there are still some solid indie titles worth checking out this holiday weekend.

Here are our picks for this week in indie games, November 21 - 27.

Alpine - The Simulation Game

If you’re looking to get into the spirit of winter, Alpine - The Simulation Game – from developer HR Innoways – will be right up your alley. A varied story campaign filled with missions will keep you plenty busy – that is, when you’re not tearing up the slopes of the Alps while skiing in third-person. Alpine - The Simulation Game is available now on PC via Steam.

Crash The Core - November 25 (PC)

Fans of digital deck builders will want to be sure to check out Honest Rogue Games’ Crash The Core this week. Set in a sci-fantasy setting, the roguelike deck builder tasks you with equipping gadgets, summoning allies, buying weapons and consumables, and salvage cards as you make your way through each round, gathering intel about the secret location of a planet's core system and a conspiracy that threatens the entire universe. A co-op mode is also available to play locally with a second player. Crash The Core will launch on November 25 for PC via Steam.

DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game - November 25 (PC, PS4, XB1, Switch)

Ready to turn your brain off (in the best way possible) this holiday weekend? Look no further than DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game, from developer Gibier Games. After a long stint in Early Access, the game is finally launching this week, putting you in the hooves of a deer who can use its elongated neck as a grappling hook while also being able to use adjacent objects to turn into a Megazord-like creature. It’s a ridiculous looking game, and one that deserves your attention (and laughter). DEEEER Simulator: Your Average Everyday Deer Game launches on November 25 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Date Night Bowling - November 26 (PC, Switch)

Spending yet another holiday alone again? Cheer up with the cozy pixel art stylings of Date Night Bowling, from developer Serenity Forge. Take on the role of one of ten characters as they search for love in the likeliest of places to find it: a neon-lit bowling alley. Choose your character and find love while you play a surprisingly deep game of bowling where you can choose your ball weight and lane oil. You can even play locally with a second player! Date Night Bowling will launch on November 26 for Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam.
