Get your drones ready. The seventeenth installment in the Battlefield series - Battlefield 2042 - is set to send out invites for its first technical test.

The test is set to run from Thursday, August 12 until Monday, August 16 for three hours a day. EA is only sending invites to those who currently have an EA Playtesting profile. However, only a small number of players will be invited to participate. Leaks and streams are not anticipated, as participating players will need to sign a non-disclosure agreement in order to be a part of the test. EA Play subscribers who are not selected for this technical test will still get a chance to play the game before its release with an open beta in September.
