Warners Bros. Games has uploaded a new cinematic trailer for its upcoming fighting title MultiVersus, with the cinematic also showing off some previously under wraps characters that are now revealed to be included in the ever-expanding roster.

The cinematic trailer is a nice meaty 2:39-minutes long and reveals the Iron Giant and the Tasmanian Devil aka Taz, from Looney Tunes, will be included as characters in MultiVersus, along with crime solver Velma from Scooby-Doo.

As Warner Bros. Games' free-to-play platform fighter gears up for release, it is introducing ever more additions to the roster. The trailer shows off Taz's frenzied nature, spinning away and slobbering all over the place, the Iron Giant's aerial prowess who flies alongside Superman, and confirms the presence of ginger problem solver Velma. Today, it was also announced that the MultiVersus Open Beta is launching in July.

Players can get involved with the game's Closed Alpha by heading to Multiversus.com and registering. The test will begin this Thursday (May 19) and will run through to the 27th. The publisher wants to remind that spaces are limited and registration does not guarantee entry to the Closed Alpha, which will feature 15 playable characters including Taz and Velma.

Those selected will also have the chance to play seven different maps. These include the Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), and Scooby's Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo). Modes such as 2v2, 1v1, four-player free-for-all, and The Lab (a practice mode) will be on offer.

The MultiVersus Open Beta will be available in July for PS4 and PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC with full cross-play support for all that online carnage.
