According to recent rumors, a remastered collection of the first three Jak & Daxter games is currently in the works at Bluepoint Games. The remake is supposedly well under way and is going to be finished by the end of the year, launching alongside the PS5.

These rumors come from a recent leak on 4chan, and as most 4chan leaks go, this could be true and it could be completely made up. Still, considering the recent success of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, and Spyro Reignited Trilogy, we're remaining optimistic that we'll have a chance to play remastered versions of these classic titles before the end of the year.

Developer, Bluepoint Games, is supposedly behind the project. The company has built a reputation of making quality remasters, working on both the Shadow of the Colossus remake, as well as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. Bluepoint is also rumored to be working on a few other remasters though, so we should definitely be taking the Jak & Daxter rumors with a grain of salt.

Still, the classic trilogy contains some of the most colorful and memorable games in the PlayStation 2 catalogue, and players would certainly be interested in revisiting the games on the PS5. Considering the rumor hints at a November release date, hopefully this means we'll be hearing something official soon.
