In a truly inspired trailer right out of the 80s, we get to see the latest NES game, Jay, and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl Punch!

Yes, you heard that right: NES!

Interaband Entertainment, Spoony Bard Productions, and Limited Run Games have put together an instant classic reminiscent of brawlers like Double Dragon, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axe. For those of us that missed the limited run pre-order, don't worry the game is also releasing on Nintendo Switch and PC through Steam next Thursday,  May 7th.

Originally conceived as a stretch goal for the kickstarted game Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Punch, the game chronicles many of Jay and Silent Bob's greatest cinematic moments. While both titles are brawlers, we have been assured that they are different games and that Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl will serve as a prequel to the upcoming Jay and Silent Bob: Chronic Punch. Fans need not worry either as coding for the 8-bit inspired title has not affected the development of Chronic Punch. This was handled by nonother than Tomas Guinan, the man behind Eskimo Bob, and Trevor Fehrman, who played Elias in Smith's Clerks II.

Even Kevin Smith himself got in on the action

Jay and Silent Bob: Mall Brawl will be available on NES, Switch, and PC available from May 7th, 2020.
