The Game Awards is going to be another star-stuffed affair tomorrow. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss are going to be promoting the new Matrix film, while The Mandalorian’s Giancarlo Esposito and Ming-Na Wen will make sure everyone knows about The Book of Boba, the new Star Wars series premiering on Disney+ at the end of the month. And now we’re finding out that Sonic The Hedgehog himself will appear alongside his arch-nemesis Dr. Robotnik to promote the upcoming Sonic The Hedgehog 2.

TGA host Geoff Keighley just announced on Twitter that Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz will be presenting at tomorrow's award ceremony and they'll be premiering the first Sonic The Hedgehog 2 movie trailer.

We also got a tease of what to expect with the trailer courtesy of the movie poster that just got posted to social media. Just like in Sonic 2 & 3, we see Sonic the Hedgehog riding atop Tails' biplane as it races to stop Robotnik from doing whatever nefarious deed he's up to this time.

There's not much known about Sonic 2 other than it'll follow some elements of Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. The first movie ended with Dr. Robotnik stranded on a mushroom planet, but he somehow figures out a way to escape with the help of Knuckles the Echidna. Played by the ever-sexy Idris Elba, the only thing Elba was able to tell us about the movie was that Knuckles won't be sexy. But c'mon--even an animated and Knuckled-up Elba will find it hard to remain unsexy.

Fans looking to discuss the coming Sonic movie will find it difficult as there's no official Discord. At least, not anymore. The PR department in charge of the Discord shut the whole thing down after the channels all basically descended into porn and anarchy. You'll have to find your own safe spaces to discuss your love of Sonic.

The Game Awards starts tomorrow night at 8 PM ET, 5 PM PT.
