League of Legends' Jinx has been added to Fortnite, with her costume and other cosmetics available to purchase now. This makes the iconic League champion the first in the series to jump over into another, non-Riot owned franchise, and is part of a push to advertise the upcoming Netflix show, Arcane.

Alongside a Jinx costume - based on her Arcane appearance - you can also pick up a Jinx-themed pickaxe, spray, Back Bling, and music track.

Riot Game's Brandon Miao explained why the company decided to go with Fortnite for the first League of Legends crossover of this kind.

"Fortnite has executed high profile collaborations and entertainment experiences while remaining committed to bringing players content that enriches their experience both in and out of game, a dedication we share and admire", said Miao. "We hope fans will enjoy seeing Jinx, one of our most iconic League of Legends champions, in Fortnite to celebrate the launch of Arcane."

Arcane is an upcoming animated show starring Jinx herself, alongside her sister Vi. It hits Netflix in just two days, November 6, and will consist of nine episodes, split into three "acts".

To promote the new show, Riot has plenty of tie-ins planned for the month. One of which is a crossover with PUBG Mobile, offering new characters, locations and game modes. However, Fortnite still takes home the title of the first non-Riot game to bag a League of Legends collaboration, as the PUBG event isn't kicking off until November 16. It does, however, appear that it will be more extensive, offering multiple characters as well as new ways to play.

Outside of these high profile tie-ins, Riot will also be teaming up with Epic to bring some titles to its storefront. League of Legends, Teamfight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, and Valorant will all be available via the Epic Games Store.

We can expect more big announcements from League of Legends this month, as part of the ongoing RiotX Arcane event. On top of third-party ventures such as this, Arcane is also collaborating with League of Legends and Valorant.
