Fortnite players have been able to become Thanos in the game recently, and it seems as if the man who plays the supervillain wasn't aware of that.

Right now on social media, there are two things that are pretty hard to avoid. Posts about Marvel Movies and footage of people playing Fortnite. The former is because Avengers: Infinity War is currently in theaters, and the latter is a game that has taken the world by storm. Well if you're not fans of either Marvel or Fortnite, then you probably weren't that excited about the two phenomena joining forces.

Last week Fortnite introduced a limited edition mode in which players could hunt down the Infinity Gauntlet and become Thanos, the super villain from Infinity War. The lucky players who found the gauntlet became far stronger than the rest of the players on the map, gained the ability to punch through buildings with one swipe, and wipe out their competitors using a beam emitted by the gauntlet.

The man behind the CGI when it comes to Thanos is actor, Josh Brolin. Brolin was shown the Fortnite version of Thanos by IGN this past week, and clearly it was his first exposure to the crossover. The footage shows Thanos dancing, something players can do in Fortnite to taunt those they have defeated, and he didn't seem that impressed. Brolin said "I wish I had done the mo-cap for that. Then I would have done a great dance move".

Had Brolin made the decision, the dance move would have apparently been Thanos spinning on his back with his legs in the air. After hearing that we agree, Fortnite should have had Brolin do the motion capture for it. He's pretty busy at the moment though. Not only is Brolin the bad guy in Infinity War, but he also plays the dastardly Cable in Deadpool 2 which hits theaters worldwide this week.

Clearly Brolin is becoming Marvel's go-to guy when it comes to portraying despicable super villains. He may be the first man to have played two bad guys this close together. The super hero movies he has most recently starred in may even be numbers one and two at the box office by this time next week. Also spoiler alert, so look away now if you still haven't seen Infinity War, Brolin will return as Thanos for the fourth Avengers movie next year.

The Fortnite/Avengers event is, sadly, over. But it was fun while it lasted!
