After concluding its initial stint as an Epic Games Store exclusive, Journey is now making its way to Steam with a launch date of June 11th, a little over a year after its initial PC debut. Publisher Annapurna Interactive has done a fantastic job with this port, and the game is optimized for 4K, leaving no doubt that this is far better looking than the original version on the PlayStation 3.

For those who are not familiar with the game, it is a classic that should be played by everyone. Journey is quite short and often lumped into other “walking simulator” titles,  however, the artistic direction, aesthetic of design, and soundtrack make this a game that should not be missed for any reason. The game may have first released in 2012, but even in 2020, it is a real treat that holds up well over time, and likely will continue to do so long into the future.

Of course, since the game first went to Epic Games rather than Steam, there are surely  countless players who decried content exclusivity who can now safely purchase the game without compromising their principles, if such people do in fact exist.

Journey will be launching with full online co-op, controller support, and Steam Achievements.
