Yesterday's ESRB leak of the Judgment and Lost Judgment sequel coming to PC has been confirmed during the Ryu Ga Gotoku summit afterparty. The two games are available to buy on Steam right now.

This confirmation of the news come straight from Sega's official Twitter account. The Tweet reads, "Just announced! 'Judge Eyes' series Steam version is now available! Line up at the store from 22:00 Japan time!" Judge Eyes is what the first game is known as in Japan.

As well as the announcement, a new steam trailer has been revealed for the games. The games look excellent on PC, and we can't wait to see what weird and wonderful mods the PC community create for the series.

Unlike the mainline series that follows Yakuza member Kiryu, Judgment and Lost Judgment feature lawyer-turned-detective Takayuki Yagami as their protagonist. Back in 2019, Sega pulled sales of Judgment due to actor Pierre Taki, who did voice and motion capture for Kyohei Hamura, getting arrested on cocaine use charges. The character was redesigned and his voice actor changed following the charges.

In happier news, rumours earlier this year suggested there may be a Lost Judgement TV show in development. Many video game properties are hitting the small screen, including The Last of Us and System Shock. We haven't heard anything more on Lost Judgment though, but fingers crossed.

In other news from today's summit, Yakuza 8 got a reveal trailer and launch window. It'll be coming out in 2024 and feature an older Kiryu sporting grey hair. Thematically, Kiryu will be representative of the past and Kasuga the future. Both will be playable as dual-protagonists, and the game will be a turn-based RPG, continuing the Like a Dragon change in combat.

Also announced was the Like a Dragon: Ishin remake, finally coming to the West and featuring characters from Yakuza 0, 6, and 7, Adachi, Zhao, and Joon-gi. There's also Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, which bridges Kiryu's gap between Yakuza 6 and Like a Dragon.
