During Chapter Five of Judgment, you'll automatically be thrown into a Friendship Event with an old man by the name of Iyama, the Hermit of the Dragon's Palace. After helping him to create his extract and defeating some thugs, Iyama will give you a key to the Dragon's Palace.
This new location will unlock Iayama's extract crafting expertise, as well as various mini-games. However, when it comes to unlocking more extract recipes, you'll need to do a little work in raising your Friendship Level with Iyama. We've got everything you need to know about achieving that right here.
Iyama's Friendship Events
In order to unlock all extract recipes, you need to reach maximum Friendship with Iyama. In order to do this, you need to craft the extracts that he requests as scavenger hunts by collecting various ingredients from around Kamurocho. Here's a full breakdown of each Friendship Event.
The Hermit of the Dragon’s Palace
As previously mentioned, you'll automatically meet Iyama as part of the storyline. Help him out, defeat the thugs, then once you are in the Dragon's Palace with him, he will ask you to craft an extract. Create whichever one you have available ingredients for.
Completing this will unlock the Esoteric Knowledge skill, which increases the great success rate when crafting extracts and can be purchased under the Special tab with SP. There are two further skills that will unlock.
From here on out, you can go into your "Items" menu, then under "Valuables", you can see the Extracts that you can make. Next to one of them will be the "Request" message, showing that this is the extract that Iyama wants next.
Note: When collecting crafting ingredients, you can reset/respawn them by traveling somewhere else by taxi. Required ingredients can be found or purchased all over Kamurocho, but we'll give you a couple of suggestions as to where to find what you need in the guide below.
Scavenger Hunt: Extract Recipe: Throw
First up is the Throw Extract once you have the required ingredients, you need to return to Iyama.
- 2x Empty Bottles: These can be found on Park Boulevard Alley or near Pink Street.
- 2x Twigs: These can be found on Park Boulevard near the hedges.
Scavenger Hunt: Extract Recipe: Power Attack
Your next scavenger hunt request from Iyama is to collect the ingredients for the Power Attack Extract. Once you have the ingredients, make the extract and then return to Iyama.
- 2x Dented Carbon: Can be found on West Shichifuku Street.
- 2x Bronze Plate: Can be purchased from Ebisu Pawn just south of your office, or is dropped randomly from enemies.
Scavenger Hunt: Extract Recipe: Stealth
Iyama's next request is for a Stealth Extract and it requires more ingredients than the past requests, but fortunately, they can all be purchased in stores. Once you have all of the ingredients, craft the extract, and return to Iyama.
- 5x Tuna Onigiri: Can be purchased from the Poppo convenience store on Showa Street.
- 5x Tuna & Egg Sandwich: Can be purchased from the Poppo convenience store on Showa Street.
- 4x Fresh Tuna Cat Food: Can be purchased from Don Quixote on Showa Street.
- 2x Sushi Set: Can be purchased from the Poppo convenience store on Showa Street.
Scavenger Hunt: Extract Recipe: One-Two Knockout
Your final request from Iyama is to make the One-Two Knockout Extract. Once you have all of the ingredients, craft the extract and return to Iyama to fully complete your Friendship Meter with him.
- 4x Exquisite Screws: Can be purchased from Ebisu Pawn just south of your office, or found around the city, such as inside the Mantai Internet Cafe or on West Shichifuku Street.
- 2x Old Circuit: Can be purchased from Ebisu Pawn just south of your office or found around the city, such as in Pink Alley.

Where is the Dragon's Palace?
Once unlocked, the Dragon's Palace is located at the northern end of the Kamurocho map on Hills Garden road, as shown above. The Dragon's Palace contains the following:
- First Floor: Entrance
- Second Floor: Poker and Black Jack minigames
- Third Floor: Koi Koi minigame
- Fourth Floor: Iyama's Extract Shop

You only start off with a handful of extract recipes, but as you complete Iyama's Friendship Events you will unlock more. Once an extract has been unlocked, Iyama will begin to sell it in his store if you don't want to hunt down the ingredients needed to craft it yourself.
