Isla Sorna - the location of the original Jurassic Park. Things didn't go well there, and now the entire island is inhabited by dinosaurs. They have made the island their own, cohabiting amongst the ruins of the old site.

This Chaos Theory mission is much shorter than the others you have played so far Jurassic World Evolution 2 and serves as a gap-filler between the old movies and the new. You are tasked with capturing various wild dinosaurs from the environment and shipping them back to the holding facility.

Capturing Your First Dinosaurs

A Wild Dinosaur Grazes In The Short Grass

The first thing you need to do, as with a lot of other missions, is to construct a control centre and a response facility. This gives you two ranger jeeps and a helicopter to both capture and survey the new additions to your prehistoric menagerie.

Once the construction on the two buildings has finished, you will be given a tooltip on how to tranquilise a dinosaur and then tasked with heading out into the wilderness and capturing an Ankylosaurus. Ensure that you have a suitable enclosure built to house the dinosaur once you have put it down.

You won't need a lot of enclosures for this mission; it boils down to capturing wild dinosaurs, housing them until they're comfortable, and then sending them to your containment facility. Ensure the main enclosure you have is large and has several viewing galleries.

Take manual control of the helicopter at your response facility, and fly it towards the marker on your map. The Ankylosaurus in question should have a symbol above its head. You can lock on to the animal, or take the shot manually. Once it is asleep, use the transport icon on the left side of your screen to haul it to the newly-built enclosure.

Making Your Dinosaurs Comfortable

Once the Ankylosaurus is safely in the enclosure, you must then construct a ranger post inside the fence and assign a ranger team to it. This will ensure that the status of the dinosaur is being checked regularly, and it will also give you an indication of what the animal needs in order to reach a high comfort level.

Ensure the Ankylosaurus has at least 80 percent comfort in order to progress on the mission. Do this by adding water, ground leaf, and ground fruit. Once you have achieved this, you need to send it off-site. Simply tranquilise and use the transport function, similar to how you got it in the enclosure initially.

Completing Your Collection

A Large Group Of Dinosaurs Gets Airlifted In To An Enclosure

The rest of the mission follows the same pattern as before. You will get a new objective to capture some wild Stegosaurus - four this time. Because the enclosure you created initially is now vacant, you can just move your new dinosaurs here, changing the scenery as per the guest's needs.

The Stegosaurus needs ground fibre, water, ground fruit, and forest in order to reach perfect comfort. When a suitable comfort level is reached, you'll again be asked to ship these animals off to the holding site.

Your next unwilling resident is the Ceratosaurus - this dinosaur is a carnivore, which offers a slightly different challenge than the ones previously. Simply tranquilise and transport them to the empty enclosure, analyse and make them as comfortable as possible. Make sure you have a carnivore feeder releasing goats, so they don't starve.

A Dinosaur Lies Unconcious In A Medical Facility

When you analyse the Ceratosaurus, you'll be informed that it has an undiagnosed medical ailment. In order to cure the dino of what ails it, you'll need to construct a medical facility. The area is small, but without the need for tourist attractions you should have no problem finding the space for this new building.

Perform a medical scan on the Ceratosaurus and you'll see it has a major fracture. You're required to tranquilise and transport the carnivore to the new medical facility to get it healed up.

You will need to hire scientists to cure the Ceratosaurus. Ensure that any new employees have points in welfare.

Next, you'll receive a message that there is a special wild Triceratops somewhere out in the forest. Take the ranger vehicle and follow the compass until you reach a large herd of horned dinosaurs. Perform a manual scan, then get your helicopter to tranquilise and transport the Triceratops to the enclosure at your base.

Same as before, increase the comfort of the dinosaur and ship it off to the holding facility.

Capturing The Last Of the Dinosaurs

A Long-Necked Dinosaur Looks At A Helicopter In The Distance

The last part of your mission on Isla Sorna is to capture three different species of dinosaurs, make them comfortable, healthy, and then get them out of here.

The three types of dinosaur you need to capture are all herbivores, so having them all in the same enclosure is fine. If you hadn't built a large enclosure before, now is the time to. You'll need a lot of forest, water, and various fibrous plants to keep the animals happy, as well as a fair bit of open space.

Once all of your dinosaurs are happy with their surroundings, you need to make them go to sleep in order to ship them off the island and complete this Chaos Theory.
